Could someone please comment on my questions above (used as undervolted CPU fan & case fan)?
Is the Nexus so noticeably better than a Glacialtech that you would pay $30 for one when a Glacialtech is $10?

Updates please.
Agreed. As I'm new here I'd really like to see the sites recommended fans updated with recent results. I'd like to know how some of the new, less costly (read Glacialtech etc) 120mm's match up with the mighty Nexus for example.Elixer wrote:You guys have things in the works I'd like to see reviewed

Could be a wait...
I'd probably get this, mainly because of its dimensions, except that if it retails at the same price as the XP-120, then it will be $30AUD more expnsive than the Ninja. To me, it looks like more of a go than the ninja without a fan. IMO, right under a 120mm PSU fan should be adequate looking at the...

Re: scythe ninja compatibility
Will the Ninja fit in an Antec SLK3800-B? It's the same thing as a 3000B so opinions from those owners will benefit me as well. I really need to know so I can purchase. thank you. I hope so as it looks like I'll be ordering one soon.... I've been assured by another 3000B owner that it will f...

Zalman Passive?
A Zalman ZM-NB47J looks like it would probably fit OK. It also depends on PCI card length and what size HSF fan you're using.

Glacialtech
Some very preliminary results (my Glacialtechs arrived). Hi jermaink, any chance of an update? I've got a black GT12252BDL as a front intake and it seems nicely quiet to me running at 12v/1025rpm. It's hard to tell noise accurately when the CPU & NB fans are noisy but all I hear is airflow. In your...

NB47J
As I said, I've only got these pics of someone elses set-up. I do however have an NB47J and a 40mm Akasa in my hand as I type (one handed  ) You'll get two seperate zip ties on near the base of the of the HS and can probably get a long zip tie through both top holes and around the top of the H...

Zip Ties/ Tyraps/whatever you call them....
I've seen guys attach the 40mm fan on with a couple of small zip ties to the fins on the NB47. The holes and fins line up almost exactly.

approx ~116 hours worth of tests without mounting time included; YAY! I spent close to 140 hours with "only" 89 test configs, but needed to install them inside case (motherboard removal for some) which eats a lot more time. jmke, I haven't had time to check the full report (I originally posted at 3...

Agreed, I love the black interior and is that a solid copper sheet HD rack? I'm intrigued by the fan in the bottom and where it's getting it's air supply from - graphics card vent maybe? I have the same case and when I added a front fan the graphics card vent started venting out instead of sucking i...

I just ordered a Scythe Ninja Fingers crossed! Hi Cams, I've been doing more research since my last post and have come to a similar conclusion (except the P150 bit!). Thermalright coolers seem to be comparitively over-priced here in Oz (AU$99+) :? so I'll probably try the Scythe Ninja (AU$69) in my...

Cantilever effect...
It wasn't sagging. Mike, you do highlight in this review the cantilever effect, which I don't recall you doing to the same degree with the Ninja. Although the HR-01 is approx 100g lighter than the Ninja, is more of it's weight distributed out at the fins compared with the Ninja? Given the similarit...

Scyth Ninja
Whats wrong with the Scyth Ninja? I've had both xp-120 and the ninja. Prefer the ninja in terms of fit and performance kogi Probably nothing but my perception of it! When I visualise it I see a tall, heavy-ish (665g?) weight hanging off my motherboard and causing future drama's. This perception was...

Update Please
Ocelot and David Cole, please update this thread when you both get your XP-90's & Nexus (Nexii?) fitted. I'm in the same situation with deciding : XP-120 & Nexus versus XP-90 & Nexus. Its's strange that the 92mm is actually rated as quieter than the 120mm. But, is the 120mm ultimately going to be qu...

Re: The Nexus 120mm fan corner cutting guide...
Also when mounting such fans on a Thermalright XP-120 , the tubes get in the way of the mounting clips. Well, if the tubes are unwanted, they have to go. Great article Tibors! :) As an aside, has anyone tried these XP-120 top flange clips? I'm not too confident in my ability with the "cut 'n crush"...

okay just restarted my box I'm running the bios dated 08/27/2005 (obviously that's in the US format) look towards the top of the screen as it's detecting drives and you should see a bunch of numbers just below the line starting Nforce 4, in my case it's 49GW1P47 082705 - the bit in bold tells you t...

Any Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS owners?
I've done a search and couldn't find an answer to my question, so here goes. I have the Foxconn nForce4 Ultra board paired with a stock A64 3200+ running the standard HSF. My Antec 3000B case runs the rear Tricool on low, a 1000rpm Glacialtech in front, Zalman VF700 on the GPU and soon a Zalman NB47...

You're not the only one. My EKRS read-out sticks at 71 deg C and won't budge. Foxconn say it's a Windows issue I have and I'll have to re-install XP! I've tried the Foxconn monitoring utility (two versions), MBM5, the nVidia one and they all report the same innaccurate CPU temp. It's strange that th...
