i dont know anything about the system, but i do know something a little about 92mm fans so far, there has been no 92mm fan that i have been happy with expect for the panaflo. but even that is only good at 5V and doesnt push much air. the ascoutcia 92mm fan is pretty good, but mine always seems to sp...

Cable extensions? Why do you need anything like that? I don't use any in that set up, cables are long enough. The point is just to get it out of the box. And yes, turning it upside down is better. see... you saying that lead me to not buy any cable extensions and assume that my cables were long eno...

What exactly does the wood do for this birdcage? From what i gather, the safety mat is what is holding the HDD in place and damping the noise All the wood is is support for everything also, have you tried this setup yet in a up and running system? i was wondering if your HDD temps improved thx ~RaNDoM

I know for my final noise source it was the HDD vibrating the the case.

Same drive rails in the BQE and sonata.

I use magic stretch to fix that.

soborthane is also higher recommended

Advantages of Sonata: - Better aesthetics - Quieter PSU & case I dont think the case is quieter and i believe the PSU is the same type just the sonata has a little more juice. either one is not that quiet IMO. also i dont think the sonata looks better then the BQE, the BQE has more a classic look, ...

Kind of a old thread, hopefully someone will read this

anyway

MikeC or anyway, do you recommend moving the PSU to the outside and taking away the exhaust fan in a Antec 3700BQE if there was a high end system in there?

like lots of heat coming out from the cpu and the vid card.

thx

I dont think the zalman is overprice considering the best thermalright Heatsinks are 60 bucks

The ALCu is only ~30 bucks

anyway, if you have mounting holes in yuor mobo, i suggest getting the thermalright 948U for 20 bucks at SVC with a coupon, i forgot the code tho.

Does anyone here have experience with the AMS ecube EG65?

Hey SPCR I was wondering if you have ever heard of AMS E-cube SFF machines. In particular this one here http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=56-101-607&depa=0 It has a thermally controlled PSU and some sort of xross blade cooling technology(some sort of exhaust pipe). Do you thi...
