i have decided to get the swiftech mcp 600 since i have heard the iwaki pumps put alot of heat into the water The MCP600 is an excellent choice and will do you proud. :) Be sure to add sites like pcper.com and procooling.com as you browse forums and read articles enhancing your knowledge on waterco...

Yeah it is hard to find the Z model. Whatever do you do, don't get the X. Waterblocks cause a lot of restriction, you want pressure. Sure a pump may have a 300gph lable on it, but that's with zero restiction. Pumps from Best to Good: IWAKI MD-20RZT > MD20RLT > MCP600 > Mag3 To be honest, the MCP600 ...

I used to like the Evercool ALum's but I found Delta WFB1212M to be a bit quieter even under 12v load. Currently, I am running at about 7v. Ambient 25°C, Cpu and Case 32°C Delta mentioned at SPCR? I'm definitly going to have to learn up on this fan. What voltage were you running your Everco...

procooling is pretty much THE best watercooling resource there is there will be many people who use a watercooler on there i guess. Right on. I don't know how I forgot them. They may not be too concerned about quietness as a whole, but I'm right with you Seal. I dare say they're one of the best wat...

I found them at good old Directron. :) http://www.directron.com/12plb2.html I just contacted a local computer shop and as part of their customer policy, you can test before you buy. Hopefully soon I'll be able to give a report on the noise factor with this MagLev blower as well as a high pressure Su...

Nexus in a seasonic powersupply hooked up to its fan controller... its pulling in mostly cool air, cpu's heat is moved elsewhere, gfx card puts out a little i guess.... sound like an okay plan? I have yet to hear a Seasonic Super Tornado personally, but I hear they're very quiet as it is. I suggest...

I knew someone a while back who used the freezer system inside his small fridge that had a freezer bit, basically he was going for max temps and max overclock and he ran a mix of 1/2 water and 1/2 antifreeze, it was also in a 24/7 rig. He was able to run his cpu at 0 deg C (with lots of insulation)...

Due to some of the posts in <this> thread, I have found blowers are much more suitable for pressure/high restriction use and also emit a much more pleasant noise compared to it’s axial counterparts. Though I would have liked to have found out how the Nexus fan would perform for this task, this desir...

Any Experience with Sunon's Magnetic Levitation Fans?
Sunon is more OEM like Nidec. I first became acquainted with the company when I popped open an otherwise bad PSU to use the fan many years back. I found out about these fans particular MagLev fans through one of the IT-Procurement companies that send us tons of catalogues and we hardly buy from, cyb...

Mine are 'Nidec Gamma32's' though they are much older than the spec sheets and info at www.nidec.com Ah, I think I found them. :) http://www.xtremetek.com/reviews/index.php?id=11&page=1 But they don't seem to move a whole lot of air at default 24V. Wouldn't they be pathetic at 7V? Then again, you d...

Oh wow, thanks guys! :D I work at an Information Technologies dept. I'm looking for something pretty big here. I'm going to be coolin...

What they need to design is a programmable fan controller where you can set you own max and minimum voltages, a fan off option at minimum control selection, a geometric, linear, or irregular voltage to control selection setting, etc. If such a controller already exists where you decide how it functi...

Thanks Pete! :D If you don't mind my asking, from what kind of copier is it from and where did you purchase it? Yeah, here it is. I way just wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with blowers. Apparently blowers have a lot more pressure than axial fans and that's exactly what you want for pulling air through a dense heatercore. It's 12V as standard 'cos it's made for a car. It has 3 speed setti...

How quiet is the air conditioning in your car? A blower cant be quiet at speeds great enough to be your electronic magazine rack. Very true. But I would run it at the minimum 7V instead of the standard 12V. From the same link I listed above: It's 12V as standard 'cos it's made for a car. It has 3 s...

What is the quietest 120mm fan *when restricted*?
I'm discussing my watercooled setup in the watercooling forum here: http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?p=106424#106424 One of the topics in the above thread is which 120mm fans I should go for. There will be two non-overlapping 120mm fans on my very large radiator (actually a heatercore)...

The 80mm option is pretty much out, but if I did go for it, they would be Zalman 80mm in silent mode. with the evercool, it was a bit too loud for my tastes :) Did you try running the Evercool 120mm at lower than 5V though? I've run an Evercool 70mm reliably at 3V before. Take your time to respond. ...
