WHOA! Where did you find a 1950xtx for $350? I thought they were about $450. Did you mean the 1900xt? He's not referring to the x1950XTX 512mb.. cheapest one I can find is 419 and it dropped from like 450 in the last couple of days. I think it's the x1900/512 variant he's mentioning which does run ...

Antec ups PSU warranty to 5 years on Truepower Trio/NeoHE
A good move on their part, how about the rest though? At least it is retroactive for the existing customers.

I'm pretty sure it is, I got one yesterday in Carbondale Illinois and saw it today when I stopped by another one in Cape Girardeau, MO to see about getting something else. It also comes with a "secure connect" sata cable, if that excites you. It is listed in their weekly ad, might want to check that...

Western Digital Retail boxed WD5000KSRTL @ Best Buy $159!
Retail boxed WD5000KSRTL at Best Buy for $159 this week. It is the latest revision that is referenced in the review on this website (at least mine is). Very quiet. Just FYI for those wanting/needing immediate gratification and the ability to return easily if it isn't the latest one or quiet enough f...

In fact, if you open any neo he with a broken or mangled warranty sticker, you should be able to see a hacked resistor applied to the 12v line. I don't think there is a correlation between a broken sticker and a fixed NeoHE. The one I received yesterday does not have the indicators on the bar code ...

This turned out to be significant, because when I mounted its fan blowing down, the air leaving the fins was so hot it actually increased the motherboard temperature. I also tried blowing up through the fins, hoping this would suck air through the motherboard heatsinks, but that only worked when th...

Oh! thanks! that must be it, then! they should warn that the PSU will not work with older motherboards, though :x doubt it will be a problem for me, because I assume the MSI K8NMG2-FID qualifies as "new", but others might be buying the case or PSU for use with older parts... Forget that, to find -5...

As far as I know it's an Asus-only problem. I got a Nexus 4090 and it worked straight away on my Asus A7N8X-X. Going to get rid of the silly Antec power supply. We're not talking rocket science, we're talking about a frigging power supply. Besides that, the case is really nice. Got a Samsung SP2104...

Quick feeler check here, I"m about done with the p150/neo430 combo (bought a 2nd p5ld2 asus and it ain't booting).. So, how is the Sonata II w/ the stock SP2 450 psu? Am I going to run screaming from the house when it boots? I'm not concerned about the parts I have now, they are nice and inaudible t...

Yup. I will most likely buy Antec again, but I will NOT be an early adopter as I have in the past and will buy locally where I can easily return and leave the problem in the retailers' hands to deal with Antec or their dist. It's sad to say that Antec has made some poor manufacturing/sourcing decisi...

But the sticker doesn't matter, you can RMA the power supply even if it is no longer in tact. Doesn't matter who sells it or who buys it, it is still under warranty. Besides, if you want to get technical, most company's warranties are only valid for the original owner, so it isn't under warranty as...

That response from Antec tech is BS and they know it. ABIT, INTEL, A BIOSTAR and 2 ASUS MODELS, P4 & AMD. I offered to let them try them at one point, but they declined. HA HA. I posted a ticket in the Antec tech support system, asking: My understanding is that at some point in the last few months, ...

Actually the user manual for the P150 instructs you to use a single full twist. word. It's in the manual to do it that way. If a twist is used, sliding it out from a location to open up isn't going to make it move much, surely not enough to make it snap. What I suspect is happening, is the semi-sha...
