If you check out [H}ardOCP on their forums, they have a post with coupons from MonarchComputers. Right now, you can get an Opteron 165 (1 MB x 2, 1.8 Ghz) for only about $275 after taxes/SH. Many people on there are reporting overclocks of UP TO 2.8GHz, and that’s on stock cooling. However, I didn’t...

SN21G5 - Thoughts?
I am currently in between deciding to build a HTPC Desktop Case using a NSK2400 or building a HTPC SFF with a SN21G5. However, not seeing a review for either here on SPCR (no doubt i"m sure Mike is working on a review for both ;) ), anyone here have any suggestions/thoughts/experiences with either -...

The NSK2400 is available on NewEgg, and when NewEgg has it, that's all I need to know *orders*... Actually I wont be ordering one until I have the money, I will be making a nice HTPC out of one with a MSI Geforce 6150 (surprisingly, the model with firewire is CHEAPER than the one without). Integrate...

I'm running an AN8-32X, and my CnQ worked fine. The weird thing is though, and i"m guessing uGuru's the culprit, is that while my CPU features 4/11X multipliers, the lowest mine will go will be 5x. I'm guessing again becuase of the default overclock. Not that that's bad or anything, just still a lit...

I dont see how this differs from the X1 or the X2. Oh well, I"ve heard the origional NV5v3's are the best period.

Re: Live Fast, Die Young. 7800GT & 7800GTX ceases produc
Lol, that's ironic. The 7800XTX 512MB has only just begun to ship in large numbers. More like a life cycle of 1 month. :) You mean the 7800GTX 512 MB? I nearly ordered one, but MonarchComputers took too long to get more, so I cancelled my order, which probably was for the best. I will probably be b...

You didn't mention what motherboard you have, which complicates things. I personally say that if your motherboard has got the room, use a Nexus + XP 120. I went from an EXOS Aluminum with 3 M1As fanswapped (normally only one would be on at low speed) to what I just said, and it definately is quieter...

some do, some don't. I myself have four external HDDs. The one I like most is not even on the manufacturer's website - it is that new. The Western Digital MyBook Platinum Edition - uses a 250 GB HDD, USB/Firewire interface. Yes, eSATA will be definately loads faster, though. I myself haven't tried i...

Western Digital's New "MyBook" External Drives
While I can't seem to find it on WD's website, we just started carrying these. They're basically designed like Mini Black XBOX360s.... with a green ring in the middle. I believe they are calling them MyBooks because they're fairly small and look *somewhat* like a big book that would go in your shelf...

I have a bittersweet opinion of DFI. Their motherboards work amazingly well... when they work. I had a LanParty nForce2 400 Ultra, and after about a week of headaches I never had to touch the thing settings-wise until I got a new computer, this time with the DFI SLI-DR. Again, a few headaches, but o...

Would lower speed memory consume less power and run cooler? Quick answer: No. But I think this subject has been beaten to death. Yes, HP seems to be simply taking shortcuts like they did last year (no AGP/PCI-Express, using 4 256s for 1 GB of RAM, etc etc) in order to save a few bucks but to cause ...
