yeah you were spot on there goose, you sound like a watercooler too! in my experience once you get air flowing through the radiator (which will cool the processor) you dont really need to cool anything else so even if the air coming off the radiator is slightly hotter, it wont matter terribly much. ...

radiators and radiator fins are very delicate and can be dented easily, thats why the majority of people mount them inside the case. Also theyre somewhat bigger then they look and it wouldnt fit very well toward the back, which leaves the only sensible layout of having it at the front, sucking air i...

I might buy a 3700BQE soon to Watercool

Ive decided to buy a 3700BQE when they come out in england whenever that is to put my watercooled computer in, im going to gut the hideous drive cage assembly as its silly and that is where my radiator needs to go (very hanily infront of the 120mm fan hole too!) The thing is i need somewhere to put ...

Re: Antec Sonata/3700BQE

Also could anyone who has got these cases just tell me exactly how much clerance there is at the front of the case (the gap between the bottom of the case and the Floppy bracket thing) From the case floor to the lowest point on the 3.5" FDD cage is 7.75" (196.85mm). Thanks Ralf, which case is that ...

The Implications of Noise with Raid

Simply put, accoustically, how would a 2HD raid array affect the accoustics of my computer. Someone told me that if there are 2 sound sources making exactly the same frequency sound next to each other, the effective sound output would be a lot more.

Do you guys have any experience with the SATA versions? Im hoping to buy 2 SATA hard drives very soon (for raid config) and am in the process of deciding too. It looks like samsung have SATA versions of their P80 drives, Sound-wise which would be louder the 120gb's or the 160gb's im not 100% sure bu...

...The other weird thing about the SmartDrive2002. When I recieved it, the package-- and no, I am not making this up-- smelled ever-so faintly of fish... ... which may explain why many users put barracuda's in them. :D :D 8) ROFL! Could anyone who owns a smart drive kindly tell me what the wire cle...

Thanks for welcome! As im going for silence my watercooling setup is awesome. Fanwise, a single 120mm fan on just 4-5v (rheo controlled) is all i have in there, its attached to the radiator and gives me full load temperatures of about 37 deg C with a heavy overclock. At idle it floats around 32-34 d...
