Best case/fans setup in terms of acoustic for performance
I was thinking something like: ASUS GTX 980 STRIX (silent and probably coil whine free) Silverstone FT05 (looks nice, sound absorption, dust free due to positive pressure stuffs etc) Scythe Kotetsu (SPCR king) Corsair HX1000i (the 1000W version very much because its range of fanless operation, and t...

Okay.
I thought this was appropriated because my looking is for case, and I'd want a new one.
But let's go to a new thread.

I already have seen those threads, Abula. Excellent builds you made. This thread is about X99 AIO LC and case. Anything like NZXT S340 plus Kraken X61? So, I will stop posting here about those issues not derailing the topic. I will find another thread and come back to chat you about those thi...

Re: Which case and AIO liquid cooler for quiet X99 OC build?
Thank you so much, Abula. I really wouldn't like to keep the AP181 stock fans. So if I got an FT05, I would have replaced their two AP181 for two Phanteks 140SP. My concern is to be or not to be able to read and control fan speed by an ASUS motherboard. I would really like have the control and monit...

Re: Which case and AIO liquid cooler for quiet X99 OC build?
Abula, is the fan controller on RV05 and FT05 compatible with motherboard headers? That is, when you swap the stock fans for picked ones, can you use the controller on the case at the same time you read and control speed by motherboard? For example, with Define R4, this is not possible. Is it with R...

Thank you all. Please do not quarrel. ANY contemporary PSU may whine. Please, you may freely choose whichever PSU that let you feel more comfortable with, but saying that any PSU but Corsair RM whines is just sort of meaningless gossip. I get it. And it is precisely where Corsair is putting its effo...

Re: Corsair RM Series intro'd
rpsgc, you are right. I have read a lot of reports from web that say the new Seasonic's PSU whine whether or not fanless. PSUs branded by Kingwin, Rosewill or even Super Flower may whine. Corsair said that because Corsair knows that almost all new standard PSUs whine. Have not you guys researched ab...

Re: Corsair RM Series intro'd
Only one graphics card? What you listed isn't going to even need 500W, so you could do a 650W and it would probably only spin up when gaming. Yes. I have did a query on Outervision Extreme PSU Calc and have gotten about 660 W as required PSU output (I set 20% capacitor aging for safety). Is RM750 e...

I have still not built my new system. I think on anything like i7-4670K, Z87 motherboard, GTX 770 or R9 series (I'm having trouble imagining how to control noise, anyway) and just one SSD as only drive in the PC box. I was thinking on RM1000 because its supposed capability to run in fanless mode mos...

No one has mentioned the hardocp review, which failed their 750w sample : Basically, in a hot low airflow environment under high load (50%), the fan failed to turn on before OTP was triggered. Among the ones made by CWT and made by Chicony (Hipro), which are supposed to be better on noise (assuming none of them have coil whine, then what are the coldest and efficient, in order that they do not begin to turn their fans too early and not using a high speed at full load)?

Bad news... :( TechPowerUp Review ASUS GTX 780 DirectCU II OC 3 GB I had really high hopes for the noise levels of the new DC II cooler and am, to be honest, a bit disappointed. Noise levels in idle are slightly higher than the reference design--it would have been easy to at least match the NVIDIA ...

TechPowerUp has updated its GTX 780 DirectuCU II's review due to new ASUS' BIOS: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS ... OC/25.html
Is now that card much noisier than MSI GTX 780 Gaming?
How is it compared to MK-26 GTX 780 cooled (your guess)?

I read on OCN that FrostyTech has proven that "Red" (which is reviewed here) is cooler than Blue, Orange and White (Black wasn't tested). Maybe it is quieter or acoustically smoother as well.

Great review.
Does PH-TC14PE fit in an Antec P280 with its two fans?
Phanteks states that its cooler is 171 mm tall. Antec states that its case has 170 mm of clearance for CPU cooler.
