PH-F140HP_RD are not found for sale. SPCR's links take you to PH-F140HP_BK2 (well different 7 baldes desing against 9 from one shown in the article). Glide Stream whose label is blue is discontinued. The links take PWM version (pink label). I think those may are not able to reproduce the same good ...

Re: PWM desing of reference modern graphics cards
I have no trouble using one of these cables: http://gelidsolutions.com/products/index.php?lid=2&cid=11&id=60 Worked great for me, too, on my GTX970. +1 (on 460, 560ti-448, 650ti, 660, 970). OK, thanks, but what fan is used? A PWM one. Thanks. I have noticed that the fan curve behaviour changes when...

Thanks. I am hopeful you will do that. :) Off topic: Why do you do matter of having 4k for gaming? Excuse me for my intrusion, but I have read that with current monitors 4h is a pointless except for static image. This has to do with motion clarity, PWM flicker, strobbling etc. Everthing I read from ...

Re: PWM desing of reference modern graphics cards
Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G because that thread. It semms that guy can control the speed, but as I don't know English, I am not sure about that. Beside that, it already comes with a appropriate VRM heatsink. Speaking of forgeting PWM or any speed control, I ...

PWM desing of reference modern graphics cards
We know that the reference graphics cards can not control standard PWM fans speed. My question is whether the MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G can, in view of this topic: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=28312580#post28312580 What happens is that the Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme IV chang...

I was thinking... If the fins get contracted, dilated, etc, the heatpipes too, then the pressure between both is the same in every condition, right?

Will Ninja 4 lose performance over time?
This site says yes. http://aphnetworks.com/reviews/scythe-ninja-4 Something to take into consideration is the heatpipes are not soldered to the fins of the heatsink. At first, this is not an issue, but should be taken into account in the long term, because you will experience a drop in performance a...

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
Imagine a Raven or Fortress rotated 90° to the left. It is the nearly same layout of a Corsair 400Q. Imagine a 400Q rotated... vice versa. I just used Corsair 400Q as example, and because I see it has closed holes in the front, floor and ceiling. That might be optimal to make the positive pressure e...

Re: Exhaust Fan for Fractal R5
I've found most of the time if good intake fans are uses no exhaust fans are needed .. and if needed it is more to change the case airflow patterns than to increase case airflow. By this I mean flowing a cool air supplying to component and flowing their heated exhaust out of case without it mixing ...

Re: Sapphire Tri-x Fury
HT4U gave Tri-X R9 Fury (default) outstanding ratings, notably its quietness (German). I am guessing the stock clocks version has a much better fan speed profile. By some sites saying that card is noiser than Strix R9 Fury, or that its fan speed profile is too agressive, I guess. http://ht4u.net/rev...

Although everyone says that R9 Fury X is the ideal AMD card for 4k, what you think of that R9 Fury (non-X) for these specific monitors (FreeSync wise)? ASUS MG279Q (90 Hz specifically) LG 27MU67 (60 Hz) I like to do a certain calculation to determine how a monitor requires from a card: 2560 * 1440 *...

Air 240 is compatible with wide GTX 980 like MSI Gaming or ASUS STRIX?
EDIT:
Sorry I missed something.
Now I saw that Air 240 really is not compatible with wider video cards. I saw pics.
Luca, What does OT mean?

Re: Any news in the case market?
Mike, Abula doesn't like it, but what do you think about FT05 with two Phanteks 140SP instead of AP181 stock fans? New cases in the market, and the reference now, in my opinion, should have no ODD bay and no HDD cages/places. Just it. And I say more, I wish cases without windows, with good look, wit...
