Joseph Haydn - Das Deutschlandlied

Though I was rooting for the Austrians today, I gotta say the Germans have the better national Anthem.

@aristide1: while I'm probably more politically aligned with you than with BF on many accounts, could we please keep this thread free of your constant bickering? It's simply annoying and distracts from other discussions. @spookmineer: I actually just watched that segment last week, and I have to say...

Depends on what part of europe I guess.... I've never seen one before.

On a somewhat unrelated note.... top gear reviewed a rather different kind of 3-wheeler :D

Where are you from that everybody talks against it? I'm not "against" the Euro as such, I just can't see any significant benefits to it from a UK point of view, at least for the time being. Certainly nothing that would justify handing over control of our monetary policy to a bunch of German bankers...

1. I don't own a car so I'm not that informed about gas prices they tend to go up and down a lot. But here in Germany it's above 1.40€/l so thats about $8.35 per gallon. I suspect many Europeans just do not realize the "big" problem we are facing.....that's the problem, big. People have built homes 30 miles outside town, and sometimes drive 40 miles to get to work. Many people do in Europe as well. Using your car has always been a sign of wealth. There is even an e...

bottom line, a constant 55mph is the most efficient speed for most cars. for every 10mph you go above that fuel consumption increases dramatically. I don't know about dramatically.... driving at 60 kmh gets me about 5l fuel consumption, going up to 100 puts me at 7.5l, and even up at 140kmh I'm onl...

should work. back in third grade I had a nickolodeon alarm clock radio, that only kept time correctly in the states, but not in germany. Most electronics these days will say 100-240V 50-60Hz, if you look at the power supply or the manual.

Nope, you can just change things around.

If you go to Control Panel - Administrative tools - Computer Management - Disk management and change drive letters around however you want.

No help for the OPs problem though.

You don't have to beat kids to get their respect.....take away their cell-phones, take away that Mustang you bought your 16 year old, take away their I-Pod. Write zeros to HDDs while in windows?

Hey, I tried zeroing a hard drive. Unfortunately it takes about 6 minutes per GB, which adds up to 2 days for a 500gig drive. Unfortunately this is my only computer and I can't really let it chill around in BIOS for 2 days straight. Is there any program to write zeros to a drive while in windows?

sorry for the miscoception, it didn't detect in the external case, which is why i put it in the computer in the first place. otherwise I would have just left it there. but I put it in to see if that would work better, but neither works.

It shows up just fine in bios, but when I start windows it just doesn't appear in my compu...
