In either case, I'm concerned what kind of waterpump is needed to provide the appropriate flow. Jipa, do you know what kind of pump your friend has? The internal resistance of such a radiator would be higher than a reserator but I couldn't guess by how much. I'm not sure what kind of pump the guy I...

Then again, if you don't move the computer and have a 200x80 cm sized desk like I do, why the hell not? It would be easy enough to suspend a 200 cm long radiator to the back of the desk without it even being visible. But enough of that. It's just something I MIGHT do, maybe in addition to in-case ra...

Ok I may have under estimated the Reserator. Maybe it's the "meh"-reputation of Zalman watercooling in general? I just don't see many people using those things.. And as for the HUGE passive rad, I meant something that you'd take off a freezer in a store. You know, one of them large things with ice c...

....All the things he said.... It's easy to see that you're very much in love with your WC-setup, but I'd really, REALLY love you to realize that the rig you stated earlier ("I use a 2.2 ghz dual core amd, 3870 vid card") just isn't modern by any means. Reserator doesn't really cut it with current ...

I just can't think of any use for all that space... It's a common problem with high-end cases. Sure, you can fit a rad in there, but for non-watercoolers such cases just make absolutely no sense in my books. Full-tower cases seem like the SUVs of PC-tech  Just make mid-tower cases with all the...

Yeah it's a bit confusing. Anyway there are "standards", "standards" and real standards. Anyway people are already used to long power supplies (mind it don't have to be enormous to hit the bottom fan), thus they've become something everyone's used to, "standard"And on the other hand the Antec CPX wh...

I like the internal changes, and they are what I did with my P180B already some time ago. The dividing wall at the bottom of the P18x is really becoming a huge annoyance to many would-be-customers as long, modular PSUs just won't fit. But that's it. I don't like the new top vent, the new front bezel...

Full review should come out pretty soon, but quick notes: + dust filters + can fit just about anything - The divider wall is unnecessary - The fans are too noisy lubej: Depends on what you REALLY want. As far as I remember the Zalman comes with two small fans? For power hungry setups the Anted is be...

Really the only way to enhance the CPU-temperatures without adding any noise (not that there's need to do so, in the first place) is to sand down both the CPU and the heatsink. Like so: http://metku.net/index.html?path=mods/lapping/index_eng And I'm pretty sure you don't want to go there :) The temp...

Did you try to register using a hotmail-account or something? I've seen forums where you need a non-mainstream mail account to register. And do you really reckon the three 40 mm fans on the ram-cooler are quiet? :O I've always thought those are noisy as hell... Also the 3 GB memory limitation seems ...

I've been to shower with some scrap acryl pieces (they had dust and some rain stains (?) on them), my bicycle (yeah don't have garden hose) and also my case for this exact reason. Dunno if it's the best method, but it seemed to work. I'm rather confident that also the paint brush + vacuum and/or can...

Today I suddenly got the motivation (hmm might be those ten cups of coffee this morning..) to continue modding the P180BJSS for some yet-to-be-announced future use and here's a couple of quick shots of the progress so far: http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/808/revittykattopsn5.t...

That EVGA 790i board is still one of my favourites in terms of outlooks.. However I'd prefer an Intel chipset (now that some of them also support SLI) over that one for likely better stability. Also I recall those 790i-boards having issues with overheating chipsets with large graphic cards, so depen...

On my weekend off from the service I wanted to go and see the new automotive parts superstore that had opened recently... And back from there with a 50x100x1 cm piece of noise dampening mat. I recently built a rig for my dad based on this mobo, didn't figure how old it actually already is (not like it would bother me the least bit.) The parts were this mobo, Q6600 G0, 4 GB of memory, 640 GB -AAKS drive Corsair VX450 and Antec 300 (which I already had around). There's huge amounts of pot...

I'm currently working on a Lian-Li PC-X2000 review and so far I've been fairly impressed with it. The cooling is just crazy so it should be easily enough to keep even the dual processor setup cool. The side panels are 2 mm aluminum, lined with noise dampening material and they don't seem to make any...

I did something similar a while back, you may want to take a look at my build post as you may want to soft mount your hard drives.... http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46419&highlight= Naw thanks the silicone grommets are just about "soft mount" enough for me. My take on the 300, including images
Yes, it's a good case for the price. Nice layout, easy installation, sturdy frame... Haven't really tried to make it any quieter than it is out of the box and most likely wont either, it's back to P180B for me as soon as I have the time to do the change.
