I had a WD80GB and a Samsung SP80 120GB drive and speed fan reported say 40 for the samsung and say 45 for the WD drive.

BUT if you touch the drives the WD was way cooler than the Samsung. I don't think the smart temps are that reliable.

Shoudl we be trusting the smart values?

The samsung HDs are damn hard to find in Toronto.

The lesser evil is to get a 7200.7 which is what I had to resort to.

I noticed that on the 5100Cu it tries to suck air away from the heatsink rather than into it.

Should I reverse the direction of airflow on this fan?

Would it be safe to say that any of the Evercase "Thermally Advantage Chassis" towers have the same noise/cooling qualities, because I'd like to pick out one that looks the best too
