Re: Please help me set up my hard drive partitions
Yeah I've read to run two OS's for each task at hand. One for recording studio and one for designing... but what about gaming? and use a totally separate HD for all file storage. What the file storage HD work with both OS's? A bit confusing and I dont want to buy another win7x64 pro key. :( Gaming ...

Re: Please help me set up my hard drive partitions
I have 2 hdd's: The first drive is 640GB and is divided into 3 partitions - First is 60GB for OS and Applications Second is 20GB for OS, Mediacruise and Adobe Premiere only with all unneeded services including internet turned off. This helps to avoid dropped frames when capturing video. Third is the...

if we assume this is a conspiracy, then under the "follow the money" plan, who are the conspirators? the TSA? my experiences with them is they're too fucking dumb to do anything. It's not always about money. My thoughts were that the security services did not want a relaxation of the security check...

Coincidence?
Am I being too cynical here? 27th October: Minister calls for relaxation of airport security 30th October: Bombs found on cargo planes AFAIK it's not been announced how the bombs were discovered - routine checks? anonymous tip off? Edit - just heard on the news that the security services had a tip o...

I want two fans because I can't have only one -an airflow needs two Oh really? so what about extractor fans, car radiator fans, ceiling fans, propellers etc. You can even get an airflow with no fans - convection. As to my comment on blocking the rear fan, I meant remove the fan and block the hole. ...

Well, you could make your own easily enough with an old lead and one of these and a bit of modding to the back of your case.Lyonall wrote:What I find most interesting here is the displaced PSU. I'm searching for case references with following caracteristics : -one 180/200/230 (the idea is > 120) front fan -one 180/200/230 rear fan -PSU at the top Any reason why you want the psu at the top? Generally, bottom mounted psu's are quieter as the air going through them is cooler than it would be...

Re: interesting letter regarding "global warming"
What is an undisputed fact is that the earth is currently in an ice age, at the moment in an interglacial period. Another glacial period, if on a par with the last one (where the 200m thick ice sheet reached as far south as Manhattan and London) would be orders of magnitude more catastrophic for hum...

Make it black base with white, yellow or red lettering so people with eyes do not have be blinded. Jesus Christ no. White-on-black as an absolute abomination on an emissive medium. I have yet to see Christians bashing other faiths, such as atheists, attacking them in media and basically persecuting them. They have been doing little else for the last 1000 years. Although these days, fiddling with choir boys seems to be more popular than burning protestants at the stake. Easier...

Get a PSU with a 120mm fan for quieter operation (EA-500 = 80mm). For a system this powerful (X4 or X6 + 5770) look for 450W+ (how about Corsair VX450?) so the PSU doesn't need to ramp up to keep cool. Go bigger if you want quiet. The Corsair VX450 powering an Athlon II X4 635 and sapphire 5750 was...

The VX 450 is in my circumstances at least, certainly a lot louder than the S12; I know that from personal experience bec...
