That depends too; on video cards where the image quality is poor, raising the refresh rate stabilizes the image but also causes it to blur. This blurriness causes many peopel to squint and strain, as it fools the brain into thinking that your vision is blurring, not the image.

I was concerned if they released a 2.0 with heatpipes so quickly, and I had a 1.0, what's wrong with it that they had to make such a major revision so quickly!

Is that 2.0 as in 1.0 was non-heatpipe, or is that 2.0 as in a second version of the heatpipe cooled board?

I'm not so sure there's many people out there who have both boards and can directly compare them that way, but it's worth a try asking I suppose...

Are you sure? I don't mean to make you look stupid or anything, but did you check the little black container on the opposite side of the upper HDD cage? It's a reasonable mistake to make.

Combine the solutions. Use the RAM card for OS/apps and use a laptop HDD completely muffled in an enclosure for storage. I guarantee you this is inaudible. At that level one should be more worried about coil whine or monitor hum/buzz.
