I'm with Michael on this one, get the Antec Solo + VX450W, it costs abit, but I'm willing to bet you'll be more satisfied with that setup :)

I ran my ultra120 extreme fanless on an E6600 (stock) with antec fans on low, i got about 55C load..

I'd rather get a Samsung 500GB than that 160GB.. the 500GB runs about $105-115 anyways, so its not horribly more expensive, for a faster drive and alot more space.

Edit: Maybe the Abit IP35 is a good mobo review candidate? it looks really good :)

Hi Wibla, Many thanks for your reply. That heatsink and fan combo looks great; that's a serious bit of metal! :) Any particular reason why you'd recommend the Corsair over the Antec PSU? They look pretty similar to my uninformed eye. And do you have anything you'd recommend for the VGA card? On my ...

CPU: E6750, its alot cheaper and clocks beyond 3GHz with ease. PSU: Corsair HX620W I'd recommend air cooling... Thermalright Ultra120 eXtreme and a nexus or scythe s-flex 120mm :) Edit: Noticed you didnt want to OC now.. still I'd get the E6750, put it at 375x8 (3GHz) and be done with it, it should...

The stock P182 filters works fine for me, but ofcourse you still have to vacuum the case from time to time, just not as often... tho, remember to clean the filters from time to time ;) (just rinse them in water and dry them off with a towel - takes about 5 minutes)

I'm controlling 5 fans from 0-12V on my P5W with SpeedFan.. tho it only has 3 PWM's, one for cpu, one controlling both exhaust fans, and one controlling both hdd/intake fans.. works like a charm.. but this abit setup seems to be -alot- better control-wise... You should try a top exhaust... i have my setup rigged up with a Nexus in the rear and a noctua in the top, the noctua only spins up when i pass 45-50% fan speed, by then the nexus has been spinning for a while... really helps when the temps are soaring, especially for the passive 7950GT i have, hehe.

There has been major quality control issues with the WD 500GB drives lately, a friend of mine lost 17 of 21 drives in 3 weeks (they were migrating in a new storage solution + a few servers)... so I'd rather not recommend WD for raid0 stuff at all.

This is a 6ms G2G 24"WS Samsung S-PVA (LTM240M2) panel... It probably is a nice purchase. however, it has input lag and I could never consider that for competitive gaming. Why this obsession with "no cpu and vga" fans? its utter nonsense as long as it means higher overall sound levels because the case fans has to rev faster to pull enough air through the case to cool the heatsinks. Get the P182, nexus 120mm for the front intake, lower hdd bay and rear exhaust, and a n...
