And/or add a fan sucking air in through the bottom of the case. (Requires some free height underneath.)

Add at least one (filtered) intake fan in the side door, covering the expansion slot area, if you run a high power rig.

The top fan should be left sucking out, or be removed with the hole covered.

It's tight, yes, and will provide lots of cooling and noise when operated correctly!

That's one stealthy chopper!

Seven Noctua NF-S12-800 @ 200rpm (3.0V) makes a combined noise of ~0dBA, same as one such fan running at 295rpm.

First I'd check the wattmeter. If it's a cheap Kill-A-Watt or similar then that's most probably the source of fault; these are notorious for showing the wrong numbers when measuring on switched PSUs. (If your PSU is of very good quality and doesn't send ripple back out on the line then it should wor...

You should be able to find generic engine filters for vacuum cleaners, roughly 15x20cm in size, at a fair cost. (Look in the supermarket where they have accessories for vacuum cleaners.)

That's what I use and it works great!

A fan controller is always nice, but might be a little pricey. Another option is to attach the fan to the motherboard and the use some freeware, like SpeedFan, to adjust the fan speed. A third option is to "build" your own controller. Can be anything from a fixed resistor to a setup with potentiomet...

The pump is so weak that it can not lift water to 50 cm high, this makes the degassing difficult and the overall flow rate very low since the radiator it self is already 40cm high. The actual height shouldn't matter at all (once the system is filled). Since it's a closed loop the water moving up at...

Why a separate air feed to the PSU is good.

Background In the old school PC case design more or less all ventilation was done by the PSU fan alone. As CPUs became more power hungry, this wasn’t enough, so one or two extra fans near the PSU became a standard feature. In a fairly generic mid tower case the inside air is heated mostly by the ...

I use this with no big issue.
What can be annoying is when the fans spin at almost the same speed. Then you get a resonance phenomenon that makes the (hopefully small) noise vary in intensity in a "floating" manner, up-down-up-down-...
