David (Haysdb), are you trying to make me get out my folding voodoo doll and put a hex on your farm? I mean, everytime I add a new processor and get my points up a little, you seem to up your production! I mean, I am just trying to get where I can catch up with you in March, rather than April 27th!...

According to a reply I received to a post over at folding-community.org, the assignment of the 64-bit UserID is completely random and not based on any characteristics of the host hardware. If you delete the UserID so that a new one must be assigned, the new one will be different than the one previo...

The UserID being talked about is a long hex number like "dc d3 6c 3d 0e c6 83 63". I had checked the log of both of my instances of F@H and had seen that they both had the same UserID so I thought that UserIDs were the same across all instances. I checked some of my other logs on other processors a...

As of the 12:00 update last night, Team MacOS X had matched us for the day, but today is shaping up as a GREAT day for SPCR. We have put up 14K points in 5/8 of a day, on a pace for 22K! We are only 5600 points behind Team MacOS X, and we could take a chunk out of that today. Our overtake d...

I found the following on the FAQ: FAQ: username Finally, please note that usernames are case sensitive, so "Dave" and "dave" and "dAVE" are all different usernames. I'm not sure why it was working before, EOC's stats database may have collapsed them down to one prior to the db corruption at Stanford...

Every WU is assigned to a specific (MachineID + UserID) and must be returned from that machine within the deadline. If it comes back from another ID or it comes back twice from the same ID credit will not be given. The fundamental issue is that if your machine asks for a WU, the server will give yo...

Re: noisy folding
I just joined the team, but the process makes a ~20Khz noise and if i hadn't killed it after 1 minute then you all would have to quit it and start a new headache@home program to cure me. Look, the noise is not in the earphones: it comes straight from the mobo. This board likes to do it, exp. at 100...

Bluefront, a few quick notes: I find it odd that you ask for help and then ignore all the suggestions that people give you, especially someone as experienced and knowledgeable as Ralf Hutter.
