I never see SPCR on the sending or receiving end of such linking webs. Is this at all related to purchased reviews? i.e. other sites are getting paid to link to articles? Most SPCR reviews are mentioned at [H]ardOCP's Mods & Ends (a part of their news). Sadly, I've seen only a few links at other we...

#1: It might be a good idea to include the registry entry that allows it to start at boot Having a shortcut in the Startup-dir makes it easier to temporarily disable the automatic starting -- just drag the shortcut out from the Startup-dir. A registry key requires more tinkering IMO. [One can disab...

As per request I tested the AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet driver, and it worked. It was going from 2 GHz to 1 GHz, and I did see 1.8 GHz once or twice (ThrottleWatch). Seems that either MSI has improved the board BIOS-wise, or C't has made some sort of error.

Both ClockGen/CrystalCPUID work perfectly on my MSI K8N Neo Platinum with a Newcastle 3000+.

Power the Fan Mate from 5V rail; it outputs ~3.5V. Or use two Fan Mates (or a Fan Mate and another fan controller), if you need to tweak the fan between 3.5-5V. Here's how to do it.

First, let's do the welcome: Welcome to SPCR, tlinna! You really have to suspend the HD. The removable drive cage really amplifies the noises from the drive (both idle and seek). I'll chime in with the others: If the fuse is actually blown, it's normally a sign that something broke inside the PSU .
