i know it's a total mess with main boards and CPUs, i can't find the right board with the right CPU and RAM...

What i would like is a good TRUE fast quad-core, with at least 4gb (2 x 2gb) of DDR3 and a good main board with SATA2 or 3, USB 3.0 if possible, enough Chipset and MOSFET cooling

i have a Corsair TX650W myself, and i will keep it since i'm looking to upgrade soon... (tax returns seem to be kinda large for me this year, so i might use a part of that to upgrade...) this PSU is able to run quad-core CPU and PCIe 8pins video cards in SLi, and plenty of connectors that you don't ...

What do you recommend me for a new PC?

ok i might look into a new PC, but mainly main board, CPU, RAM, hard disk and OS (most probably Windows 7...) i will probably use my Sonata 2 case along with the Corsair TX650W inside, with the IDE DVD-writer inside (i could switch this one with the SATA dvd-writer i recently bought). I do have a Sc...

well i think the fan direction could affect the overall case temp. if you have a front intake fan, i think a stock video card fan blowing air in the direction of this intake fan would probably not help with the video card temperature. I'm saying this because i really don't know how it would react, b...

stock eVGA Geforce GTS 250 are quiet, and you can also switch the cooler for that Accelero S1. a GTS 250 will be less expensive for you to buy than a 9800GTX+ only because of rarity, since the GTS 250 is still in production. i do have an unused eVGA Geforce 9600GT 512mb here (the older model with th...

what i really hate from CRTs are the dreaded settings and you HAVE to do it yourself. help: BSOD: STOP 0x000000D1 with ipnat.sys

ok my computer got a BSOD while i was downloading torrents... but now this one's different. in the Windows monitoring, it says something about "STOP 0x000000D1", then i checked with Minidump with Windbg and it says it's probably caused by "ipnat.sys". I use Windows XP SP3, and i never had a problem ...

I did checked on the developer blog of PeerBlock that there's a very rare bug that make it crash when downloading updated lists

just one thing, i think the rubber grommets included with the fan are a bit too stiff, not flexible enough, and could break easily, well...it happened a few times on my Sonata 2, maybe because the edges of the holes are not rounded enough and a tiny bit too small, so i have to apply more force... So...

before that, i had a S12-1200 as exhaust fan, but then when they released the S12B FLX, i knew it had more airflow with the same noise level so i replaced for the S12B FLX, and yes i do have slight temps difference. But i still use a S12-1200 on my Scythe Ninja because this heatsink doesn't need a l...

FLX: normal or "faster" more flexible version.
ULN: Ultra-Low Noise edition which spins slower.

i always suggest to pick FLX instead.

So far i've been using the S12B FLX as the back exhaust fan, and i have better temperatures than with the normal S12-1200.

i encountered some slowdowns, but nothing dramatic. Plus there's no online multiplayer, so don't s...

all Seagate drives don't have the AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management), you can't send it on "silent mode" so yes you're going to hear the loud seek noise on it. One thing i found is Seagate drives tend to vibrates a bit less than Western Digital (compared a Seagate 7200.11 500gb with a Western Digit...
