A little expensive for my taste.
Many reviews of IC7 seem to prove your statement wrong.

Re: Do suspended hard disks break sooner?

I have been suspending hard disk for just about as long as this website exists. I have always suspended my hard disk with a rubber elastic band just as many of you have done here. About 6 months ago, I bought a 150gb WD Raptor. It is a great disk but I have just RMA'ed it the second time. I have al...

Please let us know how the Typhoons are! I am very interested in them as well. Why hasn't SPCR reviewed them officially yet?

I went Lian Li when I realized the simplistic neat look was a thing of the past for Antec. They are like Thermaltake now, and it sucks :/

I'm using these splitters right now, not sure if you've heard of them. It has a molex on one end, and the other end has 4 three prong fan recepticle plugs, 2 of them say High, and 2 say Low. How do I figure out if the low ones are making my case fans run at 5V or 7V? Or maybe even a higher voltage f...

Turns out I accidently connected one of the fan headers to a 12V connector instead of a 5V one. At 5V the included case fans are actually pretty darn silent. I'm still going to invest in some Gentle Typhoons probably because they push more air.

Craftsman ship is amazing, top quality. The side panels are heavier than I was lead to believe by reviews, they are not flimsy at all. This case is keeping my CPU and GPU cooler than my previous Antec P150 and P180 cases. The only problem really is the case fans the case comes with, replace them all...

If ZG says the 1450 RPM Typhoon is pretty quiet at 12V, then the 1150 RPM Typhoon should be perfect to run at 12V as a case fan?

I'm getting so many conflicting answers from this thread. I don't know what fans to use now in my Lian Li PC-X500 :(

I don't want to mess with over volting. I just want a recommendation for a fan that pushes a good amount of air and is quiet.

Would the 1150RPM Scythe Typhoon be too loud at 12V? I know MikeC says 1000RPM is the max usually a fan can be run at 12V and still be decently quiet. Would the extra 150RPMs make that big a difference?

Thanks for all the help so far!

Setup my Lian Li last night. It is a very nice case. The stock fans it comes with are quite loud at 12V. I am going to have to invest in some Scythe Typhoons me thinks :)

I ordered the Lian Li and it should arrive today. I went with it over the Silverstone because it does not have open grills on top and front like the Silverstone. That and it is short and compact depth wise, even more so than my P180 Mini :) The sideways drive bays are just too cool as well.

Zg, since you've had experience with all 4 Scythe fan types, which one is the best in your opinion? Is it the Typhoon? Also it looks like the Typhoon has closed corners like the Nexus fans, is this true?

Thanks!
