So check this out.... I told y'all that I'm moving hardware over to both of my offices because I am going to lose the apartment where I've had two boxes folding along for the past year or so. I got an ASUS P5N-D to recycle the Q9650 and move two 9800 GTs into. PCI slots are close together. Even thou...

Re: yikes!
As far as the i860 goes, if you're clever you might be able to get it running bigadv jobs, but it's kind of doubtful you'll get enough throughput with gpus going too. The stock 860 is right at the edge of doing bigadvs, any other regular loads and it'll probably fail. But it's pretty good at A3 run...

For some reason NVidia thinks its perfectly reasonable to run their chips at about the same temps as the sun's core. I'd prefer running them cooler, say the temperature of lava. I just spewed diet coke out my nose at that one! I still have 4 boxes running right now: - Q6600 with a 3850 - Q9550 with...

thanks for the speedy answer, cordis. i'm confused, though, about the driver install. after going through it last night and this morning, i've removed the second card and started over from scratch. currently, the first card is folding on the machine with current drivers. do i now install the second ...

Hey, aris and any others here who might have set up dual gpu folding, how did you get your dual-nvidia gpu rig up and running? I bought a new mobo from microcenter that supports sli with a quad core intel processor, but I couldn't get the second one running last night. Is there a guide that you used...
