I've been very happy with my Ultra-Kaze 120mm fans, and have taken to placing them anywhere I can fit them in (with thermocouple based speed controlers), including my office box, my HTPC, and my compile and file servers. For my ears at least, I like their sound better than the Noctua NF-P's and or N...

Mr Sparkle thanks you for your fine review
Overstock.com has the unit for sale at US$40. It doesn't appear all that hard to find in the US, at least.
I was seriously considering the FSP Zen for my HTPC, but this looks like a much better fit for the NSK2480.

I posted this design on these very forums last year!
Bah! Patent infringement lawsuit!:D All kidding aside, I've also noticed nickel plated designs coming out incorporating tubercules (bumps) as well within the last month. The researchers are also focusing on the pleats, riblets, and tubercules on the upper surface, not just trailing edge surfaces: ht...

A $20 cooler that's way better than Intel's stock coolers is worth noticing. That's something I hadn't thought of- from reading the posts here, I was under the impression that people weren't all that price sensitive. Sometime I forget my stats basics and the implications of self-selected samples. :...

Uh, pushpins? 92mm fan? Cookie cutter design? No thanks. Something I didn't get from the article: What exactly is it about this product that would have an appeal for the spcr audience? I'm not trying to imply that the review was worthless, but I do think other products, even a breakdown of Intel Sto...

can't tell you how to tweak your system in linux but i would advise you to check the bios for whatever power-saving settings there are. there're a lot of voltage options to play with. . It looks like a nightmare for getting a large heatsink'd mobo in- I wonder why Antec didn't ditch the steel division plate between the two chambers? Has Antec solved their problems with the plastic rapidly degrading? I had an original P180, and the tabs and other protruding plastic parts became brit...

The Ultra Kaze 1000 rpm fan is the best fan I've ever used in terms of CFM/dB. The quality of the noise is low and steady. I've stuck them in wherever they fit in my HTPC, Servers, and Desktops. Recent reliability reports on retailer sites range from atrocious to horrendous. I don't think I've seen comments on drives that uniformly bad since the IBM Deathstar.

I'm using one on my (Linux) based WS, replacing my old Matrox- it's been rock solid and sips power when not in use. I initially installed Vista64 on it for laughs, and it ran Aero without any problems.

If someone calls it global warming, ignore whatever else they have to say. People who know what they're talking about call it global climate change.
