I misread, I thought you said your replacement fan had a white wire. If you replacement fan has a red wire that is certainly +, both blacks are - and your original fan's white is +.

Hmmmm...that leads me to believe that the 180v1.1 is the exact same except for the color.

On both fans the black is ground, and on the PSU the white fan is the + and on the replacment fan the white one is + but I'm not sure about any of this.

I am using rubber bands right now but MikeC (I think that's his name) told me he has done that before but the brands break over time...so like temporary the bands would work but long term they would break.
