klankymen: Bulding a HTPC so i've been browsing the forums to update my brain a bit.. I've only used laptops for a year and havn't followed the new hardware stuff at all so i was a bit lost for a moment  My cat tore up the suspension-of-the-cone on one of my speakers pretty soon after i got the...

I prefer normal cables without any fancy gimmickery like sleeves. a few zipties and they practically disappear because they fold a lot better than sleeved cables usually do. Also a black hole immidiately swallows any modular cables not currently in use, and they are never to be found again ;) porkch...

Ah, i can see how that could be a problem. As far as i know it hasn't been discontinued, just "face-lifted" to V3. The Eclipse and Omega are basically the same thing as mentioned earlier, though i personally prefer the look of the Mirage. The only mods these "need" is probably a better way to mount ...

I've built a system in an Akasa Mirage 62 and it's a case i would actually buy myself. It's wide, and it can take E-ATX mobos so it's pretty long. Not much, if any, higher than a normal case though. I found it nice to work with, all panels including the top are removable. A pretty good case overall....

So are they going to do this or not? I like how the USB ports and stuff are behind a door and the fact that it supports full ATX, which are my main problems with the Fusion and it's companions. And it's black bits with a silver strip would blend in really well with my amp. Now ditch the volume knob ...

Im sceptical to be honest.. Tesla Roadster anyone? The only car delivered is to the boss of the company and the launch dates just keep on slipping, they keep talking big but don't seem to deliver anything. Batteries are still a rather big problem. Current hybrids like the Prius use hundreds of Sub-C...

Years ago i was out alpine skiing for half a day in nearly -40c, i stayed reasonably warm as long as i kept moving.. :) So i guess my opinion is that -40c is not cold if you are properly dressed. However you will have problems getting your car-engine warm.. and very likely have to cover the radiator...

It´s nice so far.. :) I had an el cheapo laptop a couple years ago, the battery was crap and it was noisy as hell.
