What you can do is install the hard drive in the 5 1/4" drive bays, which will free the bottom of the case. I'll take some measurements for you though.

Yeah, the P12 makes a decent amount of noise at anything above 700RPM. It works well at 5V though.

I undervolt my two laptops (Intel Pentium M 1.86GHz on Compaq nc6220 and Intel T5750 on Dell Inspiron 1525) with RMClock. CrystalCPUID works better on my AMD 5000+ BE with Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (rev 1.1). As for my other desktop (Intel E2160 on XFX 650i Ultra), undervolting through the bios gives m...

Scythe also has the Zipang and the recently released Kabuto. Not sure if they will fit the NSK3480, but the case itself is pretty large in the first place so it should fit.

I'm glad to see Cooler Master release a product that is decently quiet. My last experience with one of their power supplies, Extreme Power, was much less enjoyable.

You might also be able to consider the less expensive Corsair CX400W instead of the VX450W. According to Anandtech's recent 300W to 450W power supplies roundup, it's slightly quieter than the latter:

yes, it's a Mugen 2. Temps are like 3-4C lower at idle and 7-8C lower at load. And the impressive thing is that the fan is starting at 200rpm and goes to like 500rpm at load  Awesome. I think I'll get getting a Mugen 2 instead of the Xiggy then. It packs some good value since it comes with a...

Hi, I have the same motherboard and I have to say that the high temperature reported >80c is definitely erroneous. I have actually touched the vrms and they are way lower than that even after load. A component that runs that hot would instantly burn one`s finger and while I have touched pretty much...

Hi, could the 98°C be the VRMs? I just built a system around Asus M2N68 and there was a temp that was 50s idle and 65-70°C under load. Touching the VRMs (little black chips between CPU and rear of case) suggested they could be that hot, certainly to hot to touch for long. The 7750 Black Edition (...

NCIX has the Nexus Value 430 in stock if anyone in Canada is interested. It's selling for 109$. Hopefully it will have some discounts soon and perharps other retailers will have it to give NCIX some competition.

Has anybody been able to fit a third HD in the 3.5 external cage in the NSK3480? Also is it possible to install a power supply with 120 mm fan pointing upwards, do you guys see any issues with that? Where to get rubber/silicone fan mounts?

NCIX used to sell those Nexus silicone fan mounts, but I can't find them anymore. Where's the best place to get some rubber/silicone fan mounts nowadays for a good price? Alternatively, I could get some Gelid fans and they come with some rubber mounts and aren't too expensive at all.

Both are important. Nowadays though, it isn't hard to get the proper coolers to ensure silence as well as good temps, but it usually means shifting away from using stock coolers.

The 5V mod works well with the NF-P12. Too bad Noctua only includes a 7V and 9V resistors. It will make it run at like 600RPM and it is silent in most situations.

I've been wanting you guys to review the ASUS P5N7A-VM for quite some time. The 730i/GeForce 9300 is a really good chipset for the Intel platform. I was planning on getting one, but price-wise it's just not worth it. Lowest in Canada atm is like $140! Almost 60$ more than AMD's 780G motherboards :?
