Out of those two, get the Solo, it's better in every way unless you particularly prefer the Sonata's aesthetics. IMHO any special deals available on the Sonata aren't really a factor worth considering, given that you'll probably be living with the case for many years and it could see you through man...

Haha, ok so I guess this doesn't make any sense to non-Americans. BCS, Bowl Championship Series, is a system for determining the top 2 teams in college football to play for the National Championship since there isn't a playoff or elimination round or w/e you want to call it. I looked at this thread...

I agree with you completely! Although my biggest beef with the Vista explorer (and the XP version some too) is that it seems to randomly decide how it thinks you want to view your files. Columns, widths, view (icon, detail, etc)... I could live with it I think if it wasn't for some of this crap. Vi...

Make sure you don't get ordinary cat6 or even cat7 cable - any discerning audiophile, or indeed videophile, needs nothing less than the AK-DL1: Ultra Premium Denon Link Cable! As it happens, you can now snap one up from Amazon for a bargain $297, saving $200 on the RRP. Make sure you check out some ...

According to the published specs, that TV will accept either a 50Hz or a 60Hz input (as most do these days). I doubt if feeding it a 100Hz signal would work - it's not designed for it, and the EDID wouldn't report it to the graphics card as an available option. You might be able to force it with Pow...

The HP LP2475W is regarded to be fairly noiseless, or at least the little noise it makes is imperceptible under normal conditions. I have one of those, and can confirm it's silent for all practical purposes. If I have my ear within a few cm of the top ventilation slots, I can just hear a very faint...

Re: Since when is 1680x1050 resolution 1080p?
At least that's sort of comparable to 720p. No its not, its not wide enough to display 720p. So you get squished with bars, you get bars with normal SD formats (pal and ntsc). Its a bloody useless resolution for a TV. "720p" simply describes the number of horizontal lines (non-interlaced) in the im...

What causes the "most" noise depends on the specific components, but I've always found hard drive noise the most pernicious and difficult to deal with. It's quite easy to get a very quiet computer by selecting your other parts carefully, but if your HDD still bothers you even after you've soft-mount...

The top front fan is normally set up to draw air into the case, through the filter - actually it's very often redundant in practice, although it can help for spot cooling if you have an extra hot graphics card or you're using the upper HDD bays as in your case. If there's nothing except the PSU in t...

Here was MS's attempt http://www.theregister.co.uk/2001/03/30/all_your_data_and_biz/ My (perhaps jaded) recollection is that at that time MS was selling Passport as precisely the sort of services which Google is now wowing the masses by giving away, eg. "store all your data on our servers and acces...

What are "services" in the context of the EULA? They must state specifically in the preamble what it is they are referring to when they say "Services", otherwise you cannot be held to these terms and there would be no point in Googlecorp even including them. They do, right at the beginning: http://...

If I'm reading the EULA right, any content to which I own the copyright, and which I post or even access via Chrome, is subsequently Google's to do with as they see fit, as long as it's "for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services" (which could be interpre...

I can get a Slipstream 800rpm too it turns out. I'm not sure a single 800rpm exhaust fan is altogether a good idea - there's no doubt that a Q6600 chucks out the calories when it's working hard, you're thinking of overclocking, you have a hot GFX card (which with passive cooling will be dumping all...

nafets, you are wrong - ninja instructions have nothing to hr-01 plus. its very simple why - when you secure brackets from front of motherboard, and secure heatsink there IS NO WAY that brackets will touch mobo. o-rings are only to secure pillars in backplate and pillars are long enough to be above...
