While CF cards have less problems with dieing after too much erase/write cycles, putting your main system drive with your swap file on it is still not a smart idea. (Unless you have a spare CF card and very regular backups.)

This question gets asked again and again for every HD brand. Despite the anecdotal evidence people start bringing in such a thread, the only good answer we can give you is: We don't know. The only people knowing the answer to this question are the brand itself and large OEMs. They are the only ones ...

No, the 380 and 430 have the same heatsinks. Only the heatsinks of the 330 are a little smaller.

Don't know how relevant it is, but in the case of the Condor cooler the chips are wide open to free air. While from your description it sounds you will have them with less than a mm of stagnant warm air above them.

Wouldn't it make more sense if they required that ambient noise should be e.g. <15dB and that the measuring equipment should have a sensitivity of 0.1dB or better... No, because when you want to measure 15dB, then you'll need a very special (like I don't know if it even exists) measuring apparatus....

Re: Ninja in an NSK3300?

As far as I can tell it depends on how close the CPU is to the top side of the motherboard. Can anyone say how far the cpu needs to be away from the edge for the Ninja to not overhang the edge of the board? The fins of the Ninja are 110x110mm. The cooler has a symmetrical design. The retention brac...

Mobo 24.4cm That gives you 10cm for fans. With a case width of 28.6cm, there is room for three 8cm fan openings. ____________ On top of tha...

If you put two fans in series, they will draw less Amps then one of them (if the power source stays the same).

Two fans in series means twice the resistance. V=I*R -> I=V/R The voltage stays the same and the resistance doubles, so the current halves.

As the review shows, the air intake is the most important weak point in this case.

There seems to be some free bottom space between the front edge of the mobo and the front of the case. How about adding some holes there?

The weather stripping I have is some kind of foam. I would expect silicone to be harder than that. The softer it is the better for this application.

It should be availlable in any store that sells stuff for home improvement.

Rubber sticks from Verax will not work with Nexus 92mm fans. They will work with Nexus 120mm fans (and Verax fans of course). Those fans have a different type of mounting.

Weather stripping or sponges are my favorite sources of soft material. Then zip-ties to actually fasten the fans.

Well, that's simple. Normal RAM has enough room to "breath". But as soon as you put RAM with those ridiculous heatspreaders on a mobo, only the top edge is exposed to cool air.
