High irritating beep
Allright, I've got a new Antec P150 for a couple of months with the following ingredients: motherboard: Asus M2N CPU: AMD Athlon X2 3800+ CPU-cooler: Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 (PWM) GPU: passively cooled Asus EAX300 SE-X/TD PSU: Antec NeoHE 430W (standard in the case) 512 MB memory of some kind Simple...

I'm seriously thinking about getting a Ninja and ducting it to my exhaust Noctua... Noctua's aren't very suited for CPU-cooling. They don't make much pressure (because of the tiny fins) and don't get much air through the fins. You should get yourself a Nexus if you want to use it as a semi-CPU-fan....

Going to answer the things I know for sure: 2. On 'old' HD's and optical drives you'll need a molex connector. That PSU (and any other one) will certainly have them. An Ide-connector will also be available on your motherboard. One is available on the one you've chosen, so you can connect 2 drives (2...

It is possible, but, as said, it has a voltage of 5V. And just 100mA. (The maximum of an USB-port is 500mA, but you have to request it. And a fan can't do that. So a maximum of 0.5W.) A firewire port gives you 12V however. (That's why you should never connect an USB-port to firewire.) Don't know the...

The Asus boards are excellent for undervolting/underclocking. I've got a M2N board, and it goes down to 0.8V. I've also got an 3800+, 65W. And I've undervolted that to 0.8V @1000MHz. I've calculated the power usage. Should be around 14W. But with a 45W it should be even lower. If you can get it as l...

Probably won't hurt the temperatures. You could place a 120mm Nexus @5V as an intake (that's the term). But necessary? Mwoah. Don't think so. The PSU will create some airflow in the chamber. Probably enough to cool the 2 HDD's. But you PSU will also have something to do with such a setup, so if you ...

Tech Report has a review too.
The one for desktops will get 1066MHz Ram support by the way.
It isn't bad. Comparable to Xeon's. But at lower pricings and lower wattage..

NHC is underclocking/undervolting software. NHC (or Notebook Hardware Control ) is more than underclocking/undervolting software. You can adjust almost any hardware that's inside your laptop. Except your fans actually. But if you have a Dell laptop your lucky because there is an other program with ...

I've just built a new pc in an Antec P150-case. I've got an Athlon X2 3800+ (65W TDP) and I've got the Alpine 7. And I very happy with it. At stock speed/voltage the core-temperature doesn't exceed 38 degrees Celsius (at full load)! The fan of the Alpine is running at ~1200RPM (2200RPM max). Ofcours...

You've got a little fan on your motherboard? (After a lookup , it seems you do.) Small fans on chipsets almost always are irritating. Because they are so small they have to run a lot harder than bigger fans, otherwise they don't push enough air. They run faster, so more noise. And they are small, so...

First answer: Those 4pin connectors both are for PWM fans. Second answer: I'm not sure with your Gigabyte motherboard., but often you can put a 3pin connector in a 4pin header. It'll certainly fit, and often works too. Nexus fans don't have a 4pin connector, you've seen that right. You should just t...

Maybe you could try to run Prime95 -> Torture Test. If you get any errors from Prime95 (especially when you get them within a few minutes), it means the CPU has made a wrong calculation, and that means your voltage is too low for your frequency. I also recommend you to run it for a couple of hours, ...

I don't see the correspondence between that project and pressure increasing. But that doesn't mean it's not ok, though. The thing is, what is the problem you're trying to solve with that kama? I think it will indeed increase the pressure, mounted the right way. You could also mount an extra front 92...

First of all, do you allready own a P150? Because they are just End of Life. Replaced by the Sonata Designer (less good looking if you ask me). I managed to get one of the last. Secondly, I think it isn't necessary to put such a cooler in you P150. The P150 has a 120mm rear fan (Antec 3cool) and the...
