Re: Antec Solo or Define R3?
The Antec Solo is now to small to fit most modern video cards and heatsinks your way better off with the Define R3 for this reason.

Re: More HDD Consolidations
That sucks. But I guess it's expected as the HDD market begins to dwindle. Hopefully if Seagate does buy them, they use them to make a better line of drives. Maybe continue the series for a while at least. Dwindle? your serious? hardly SSDs are still far to expensive and small to even become close ...

Re: Cooler Master prepares new cases for Cebit 2011
They Slient M looks great but it seems like there copying Antec much like what Factual Design has been doing either way looks great. I hope Slient M is cheaper then the expensive Factual Design R3,Antec P series Coolermaster always has lower prices for there cases.

Re: Which one is the best fan of these?
the Scythe Slip Stream SY1225SL12LM-P is different from the normal slipstreams in that it has a FDB, as opposed to the standard sleeve. it too(like the GT) can be mounted in any orientation. Not according to Scythe, the Scythe Slip Stream SY1225SL12LM-P uses sleeve bearing and not the FDB bearing. ...

No matter what components you swap out as long your have your system inside cubby hole like that it's going run hot. Re: case recommendation from fixed list
Well the Sonata will limit your space your not going be fitting Thermal HR-02 inside or HD 5850 it's far to small. Many people like the 690 for the choices you have available I would say it's the best even though general I would perfer the Antec 300,Antec P183,Factual Design R3,Coolermaster HAF 912.

If a slient PC is your goal and your not going to be running hulking video card or HSF then the Sonata III hands down. If your going to run beastly video card and Hulking HSF then Coolermaster RC-690 is your best choice.

Antec NEO ECO Line built by Seasonic?
Is the Antec NEO ECO 400C built by Seasonic? I read that 520C is just just a rebanded S12II-520 Bronze with 3 year warranty. I assume that would make the NEO ECO 400C a rebanded S12II-430 Bronze.

I don't mind spending the extra as long it's quiet and I assume it is and 5 year warranty is worth it as well.

Re: Seasonic SS-400ET Vs SS-400HT Vs Corsair 400CX
I believe this is reversion of the SS-380B I didn't think about this: however, if the only difference with reference to the 520W is the EPS connector, it should be a rock solid unit with a low operating noise and a very good efficiency (the 520W scored more than 82% at a 50W level, while the 80+ 38...

Re: Seasonic SS-400ET Vs SS-400HT Vs Corsair 400CX
I'm little concerned about off brand PSU's as they usually have bad noise and ripple. I was planning on the sparkle 400 watt but noise and ripple is bit high under loud. As long the Seasonic is under the noise level of the sparkle 400 or the 400CX I'll be happy I'm not as sensitive to noise as most ...

Re: Scythe samurai zz vs katana 3??
I would suggest against the Arctic Cooling's Freezer pro it's extremely loud and annoying fan on it. I would go with the Katana 3 because it blows the hot air out the exhaust of your case where the Samurai ZZ is topdown and blows it into the case.

Re: Scythe Katana 3 + Scythe S-FLEX SFF92B Cooling Sempron
The S-flex in Canada aren't so expensive 120mm guys are about $10.50 and the 92mm $12.45. I've heard bad things about the Scythe sleeve bearings fans they tend die within 6 months and the cost off sets the maintaince as you said. Once my systems are up and running I show them no mercy and they excep...

Re: Scythe Katana 3 + Scythe S-FLEX SFF92B Cooling Sempron
I like the idea of 1000 rpm fan PWM but I leave my system on 24/7 and stock fan is sleeve bearing will surely die in no time at all. I was thinking that 45w the Sempron 140 didn't need alot cooling why I choose the little guy over a dual core. I don't even mind the stock fan but since I'm upgrading ...

Re: Scythe Katana 3 + Scythe S-FLEX SFF92B Cooling Sempron
I prefer the S-flex's over the stock sleeve bearing PWM fan that going wearout really fast compared to 92mm S-flex. I don't consider the 23 dba of the 120mm S-flex's loud so there just fine at 1,200 rpm for my ears. Just wasn't sure about the 92mm at 1,500 rpm and pretty much thought 2,000 rpm 92mm ...

You'd like gain more by getting rid of all them replacing them 120mm Scythe S-Flex 1,200 rpm version there just as quiet as the Nexus but with sony FDB bearings for longer life and would way better blowing threw tight fin heatsink or restricted grills then the Noctua's. Re: Best Budget Silent CPU Cooler?
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro can be had for real cheap. Works well with low power CPUs. Not exactly easy to replace the fan (92mm), but the stock one is pretty quiet and is decoupled. If you need a bigger cooler, Xigmatek has some good options, like the S1284 in the 20euro range. Calling the Freeze...
