hmm... was thinking about it, and perhaps reversing the airflow would work better with this cooler. rear exhaust becomes intake, blows through tower section, some gets sucked through downdraft section, front fans exhaust. seems like it'd love being put in a lian li pc-a05n. without question though, ...

Re: Do cases with dampening panels make that much difference

are you doing the window yourself? if so, go with thicker acrylic and the weight will act as damping. this does leave your other panels light though, so maybe pick up an AcoustiPack EXTRA Sheet for the other areas. if youre buying a case with a window installed... it depends. it might be very well d...

Are there any nice guides on the internet I should use? Or some good advises from you guys? if you're using...

your going to want to be careful with the thermalright pressure vault mount. the amount of pressure it can put on a cpu has been known to damage sockets.

from what i can see here and here and here , it should just plug in. if the plug is physically different, then you'll have to remove the wires from the plug thats attached to your psu fan, then use that plug on the wires on the new fan. remember which position the wires are in with regards to the ke...

thanks for the review, was just looking at a situation where top down coolers were the only option, so for me the timing was impeccable.

kinda wonder how it'd do in a case, with how the different fan orientations affecting airflow.

also: unique? nobody wants to talk about the cooler master v10, eh?

somethings been bothering me about the way you test PWM fans. just by undervolting them, theyre not running as they should be run, or as most people would run them... at 12v, but with pwm control. would it be impossible to test them at various percentages on pwm control from either a motherboard hea...

what materials are you making the case out of? how thick, etc. for the rubber at the bottom, is it super cushy like silicone, or no? that would seem to make a difference. i'd hold off until later for buying the drives, because the 2tb/3platter drives will probably drop in price. with the areal densi...

kinda depends on your ambient temperatures, but you should be alright...

if not, you could run the second fan in the front too. with that you might be able to lower the fan speed a little to get more airflow with similar noise levels.

its not necessary at all to match the cfms.

since you're running more than one fan, i might lean towards more intake, for a positive pressure system.

Do they really have a fan that can operate at, for example, 5% duty cycle? That would be an impressive --albeit useless-- feat. 05% pwm set by speedfan = ~144rpm. note th...
