Have you tried contacting Scythe? I'm sure they sell them, and if you ask nicely, they might be willing to ship one to you free of charge. Another option is to use this Thermalright RM and the P4 mounting clips if you still have them. This is how I mounted a Ninja on my AM2+ system. http://www.svc.c...

ECS makes decent products actually. They're just not popular among enthusiasts because they traditionally haven't had a lot of tweaking options to appeal to overclockers, most of their boards are pretty basic and barebones. The Black series are trying to change this perception, though, and are more ...

Recently started noticing an intermittent buzzing from my Dell S2309W. Brightness >=75 seems to stop it, but I can't stand keeping it that high. The buzzing also seems to be getting worse. I've had this monitor for probably close to a year and wasn't having these problems until a month or two ago. N...

Interesting review, and considering it's only 2/3 the price of a P183 it holds up astonishingly well in comparison. Cheers! Agreed. This paragraph sums it up pretty well IMO. It is rare to see a rookie manufacturer come out of nowhere with a well-thought out design right off the bat. Luckily for Fr...

Click Configuration in SpeedFan, then the Advanced tab. Select your Super I/O chip from the drop-down menu (it's probably made by ITE) and this will give you access to the PWM modes for the fans. You should be able to change them from BIOS control to software control, and that will allow you to adju...

FS: Samsung 1TB 7200RPM - SOLD
Have a Samsung HD103UJ with 10,300 power on hours for sale. This is the older 333GB/platter model, it doesn't use 500GB platters. Drive works great, but I'm replacing it with a quieter/lower power 2 platter 5400RPM model. Looking for $50 shipped (OBO) within the US.

The Silverstone TJ-08 has similar dimensions as well, and build quality is probably better than the Elite 341. But it also costs much more than CM (and Antec): however, I guess that among the Silverstones the SG-03B-F may be better suited than the TJ. Regards, Luca TJ-08 isn't much more expensive t...

This has been reposted on a lot of tech sites and has started some really good discussion. There are qu...

I've been pretty happy with Arctic Cooling PWM fans (and their fans in general, even the non-PWM models). But just a disclaimer, I'm not nearly as sensitive to noise as some on this site and haven't compared them to other popular models, such as Scythe PWM. Not going to claim they're the best fans o...

Looks like they summarize voltage options here. Vcore available is 1V to 2V in 0.0125V increments. http://anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3753&p=3 This really seems like a fantastic board. I think it's kind of exciting the direction the industry is heading with integrating the GPU and CPU. Can't wai...

AMD's been using strained silicon since 90nm IIRC, and Intel's probably been using it just as long or longer. And MtnHermit is right, I'd worry about actual results and not marketing jargon. AMD hasn't really been able to compete with the performance per watt Intel offers at either 45nm or 65nm. The...

Beta 2 already had acceleration for these cards. GMA500 support is new, though. Unfortunately most netbooks use GMA950. edit: As far as YouTube vids go, 1080p seems to be pretty choppy on my netbook as well. The BCM970012 seems to play back 720p pretty well, though. I mainly got it for playing back ...

Keep in mind that you wouldn't need a lot of airflow. According to the SPCR review the fan is "very quiet" at 9V or 7V, and this should provide more than enough airflow. You could also try mounting the M350 out of the way (behind a monitor, for example) instead of just sitting it on the desk where t...
