Ok, took me a couple of hours but I did it I tested the temperatures with all intake fans in low, mid and high, with the door opened and closed. I also tested the temperatures with all the fans off, gave me the same result with doors opened or closed, so I wont post the pictures. The fans I used to ...

I have the following "set" of fans: - 2x Nexus D12SL-12 Black and White; - 2x Noctua NF-S12 1200 What combination / placement of fans would give a better AIRFLOW in a p182 chassis? Should I use the highest CFM fans for intake fan? or blowing the hot air out? Anyone have studied this?? The way I thin...

Burebista, hmmm.... Thats VERY interesting, so... if the CPU will shut down when it gets about 25-30 degrees over the distance to tjmax, and the Tcase is 71.4.. Then the tjmax is 71.4+25 or 71.4+30?? Right? LOL.. I am still annoyed because of high temps... my CPU has a 5% load and is giving me 48-49...

Burebista, Interesting, I thought the distance to TJ Max was a calculated value, but I guess I am wrong! Good info tho, thank you!! :) Monkeh16, TJMax is 100C, but in their website http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLAWQ# they say THermal Specification is 71.4oC, whats the differen...

Ok.. the questions was not directed to me but... 1. Would you recommend a fan with the HR-01, or is the duct enough? I would use with the opitional fan, for several reasons... I have a P182, which is not very cooling efficient, so the fan would be the must.. and.. The review states that using a low ...

Isnt the distance to TJMax, the tjmax itself - the current temperature? Nope, it's not current temperature, it's the value until thermal throttle is triggered and beyond that arbitrary TJMax thermal shutdown is initiated. Exatcly... it would be tjmax MINUS the current temp indicated by realtemp ......

hi there! No I would not run that without a fan, if I had bought the HR-01 Plus (which I really regret not buying it) I would surely use with a slow speed fan, maybe nexus, noctua or a schyte... Also according to our beloved forum, there is a list of recommended heatsinks here: http://www.silentpcre...

Kate my 2 cents as beta tester for Kevin: ...So my advice is to forget temperature, idle calibration and try to rely on distance to TJMax which is the only value (supplied direct from your CPU) which matter for your CPU thermal behavior. Keep that distance to TJMax>20-30 and forget about CPU temper...

Hi there! During my venturing thru silecing my computer I now face the following problem... NeilBlanchard, The links you guys sent me on how to apply the thermal paste is AMAZING! I really loved it, and I do intend to do that once I get AS5, I know that using AS5 might not change too much, but if it gives me 2 or 3 degree less it will be nice! All I need right now is to know if the calibra...
