Why you don't want to replace it? There is no rational reason as it is a totally obselete piece of hardware.

I'm just curious to know why you are going against all logical thought (and our advice) and persist in sticking with it?

Is it money? Nostalgia? sentimentality? Or something else?

Well I can't get an RPM reading from either of my Nexus 120mm's at all. I've plugged the 3 pin plug (that has all the wires connected) direct to my mobo headers and the readings (both in the BIOS and MBM) read 0 rpm. I haven't actually used my RPM readings for ages, as I have been using Panaflos unt...

More PC silencing in mainstream press (in Oz)

This month's Atomic PC magazine (an Australian publication) has the first part of a 2 part article on how to make your PC quieter. I haven't read the whole article, just flicked through it in the newsagent (I'm too cheap to buy it  ) but it looks quite good. They've done some good research int...

My temps are: 122F (50C) CPU, 104F (40C) Case, 116F (47C) HDD. What do you think? Yep, your HDD temps are definitely are on the high side. After all, losing all your data is much worse (and probably more expensive) than blowing an overheated PSU/CPU. Open up some intake holes near the HDD. As long ...

I've spotted the smaller version of this case in black at a computer shop near me, and must say it looks very nice, and solidly built. My one concern is that the perspex front panel may be prone to scratches.

Has anybody who has one found this to be the case? (no pun intended  )

Aluminium U channel is is cheaper and neater if you are thinking about attaching heatsinks to the sides of the drive (where they are the hottest) for a suspended set-up. If however you already have them attached to a normal hard drive cage with reasonable air flow, I don't see that adding additional...

I think that case is a wise choice. The Lian Li, being aluminium, would have resonated the same as your Wavemaster. Aluminium cases are well known around here for resonating a lot more than steel. Plus the Fong Kai gets the thumbs up from SPCR! :D
