I'm pretty skeptical. Other than SPCR, pretty much all review sites blow when it comes to analyzing noise. A lot of times what they find "whisper quiet" is just not audible over the rest of their system, which is probably louder than an average SPCR member. Hopefully MikeC will get a review sample, ...

Get some Yate Loons, you'll be happier, especially if you couple them with a fan controller or use speed fan to undervolt them.

One thing about the design; it seems an odd design choice, with the PSU fan and the system fan fighting for airflow, as the PSU blows it out while the system fan sucks it in. So the cool air tends to be "caught" by the PSU to an extent (even if heat rises) plus the heat from the PSU is getting sucke...

Re: First quiet plus overclocked system. Need advice.

2. As quiet as possible. This system is in a very spartan and echo-ful room so even the slightest noise is amplified. I would like to go "silent" but that's just not going to happen due to #4. Try to put a blanket, pillow, some foam, etc. behind the case. Not TOO close as to impede the air coming o...

Using Verax fan mounts on cases with big fan holes

Since some people have reported having problems mounting fans on cases with large fan mount holes using this isolators, here's an easy way which usually works: put the isolators on the fan OUTSIDE the case, then place the knobs against the holes from the inside, and pull the rubber heads through. Sounds like you've made some great choices. The only suggestions I have, if you want to go really hardcore, are: 1. Get a Smardrive 2002C hard drive enclosure. You can't use the built in suspension system, but you could lay in on some foam on the floor of the case. 2. Get some Acoustipack deluxe 3. ...

Hi everybody. The Nexus fans have Molex and 3-pin motherboard jacks - if I connect them to the motherboard, I don't need to connect them to the Molex connectors on the PSU cable, right? Correct. They 3-pin connection is just another form of power plug, so you use a 3-pin or 4-pin molex, not both. T...
