out of interest what case do you have? i found putting a 9600GT into my case quite a mission due to the gfx card length and neighbouring hard drives/cables.

for the motherboard i'd look at the Asus P5E-VM which is a great overclocker and has onboard gfx able to play 1080p so the 4670 wouldn't be necessary

or even the Asus P5Q-VM/EM, which also has onboard gfx (also 1080p capable).

a comparision p5e-vm vs p5q-vm vs p5q-em

the CM690 IMO has better cable management option, regarding the CM690 side panel holes. you can easily fix that by putting a window there http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f41/chrispchikin/DSC00546.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f41/chrispchikin/DSC00547.jpg while the NSK3480 is an awesome ca...

yeah looks like your options are: - the Y cable for the 3pin fan header for cpu fan and the exhaust - or just use a 3pin to molex convertor for the other fan (assuming its a 3 pin plug) http://tinyurl.com/ct44pq but i think the fan will run at full speed unless you volt mod the molex adaptor - or mu...

i can control the speed of my 3 pin fans (connected to the mb) in the bios and also within windows using speedfan. iirc the rear fan that comes with the solo is a 4pin molex connector antec tricool (speed adjustable, high medium low). which will leave you with the two motherboard fan headers free. o...

hi IMO this is an easy choice since you should get the CM690 which has much more options for cable management and cooling.

you could undervolt the standard fans or swap them with quieter ones if necessary.

for #5 have a look at the antec nsk3480, its very popular around this forum. it comes with a 80+ power supply which can be further silenced by swapping the fan.
