I've got a scythe ninja fanless on my 4600+, with all the fans in the P180 on minimum in a hot room over night it peeked at 60degrees, which I think is acceptable.

I'm installing my Scythe Ninja as I speak, however yesterday (long story) i put an Akasa thermal pad on it.

Would it be best to remove the pad and just place thermal compound on it? As it does not cover the entirity of the metal on the CPU.

what's the difference in price between the 36gb raptor and the 74gb. I actualy found it to be deerer. The 74gb version as previously stated is quicker. If it's only slightly deerer, go for it, you'll only regret it later on when you run out of disk space

nah the scythe wouldn't fix so I've been using the old heat sink. I just tried an old cpu (2200+) and that doesn't even want to turn on. So guess that's dead then.
