@jools having a PSU with a 120mm fan is not an important thing, in fact, i think it is not good at all for a "quiet" system. most reason y most people talk about using their NV5 on the 6800 and 6800 GT is cas its cheaper by a lot haha.

after working with 120mm psu, i've never gone back to 80s. the 120 are way more quiet, and move alot more air.
my super tornado runs idle at 800 rpm, its amazing

With the D version of that heatsink i think it might be ok if you used it w/o a fan, BUT make sure u have a decent amount of airflow in ur case. I used a C version on my 9800 pro with no OP1, ran fine, but heats up when i run 3D games, i had a 120mm fan at the back so, thats acceptable airflow.
