Update I bought me some coolers and fan controller. - Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (Ninja 2 is butt ugly, mugen has those ugly things covering the heatpipes so this was the choice). - Thermalright Bolt Thru kit to bolt my cooler onto the motherboard so the board wont bend. - Accelero S1 because my passive co...

Anyone?? Your question does not sound good to me: AFAIK the Kaze Master (it's mechanically identical) has four screws (the front ones of any drive), a really stiff mounting. Regards, Luca Ok thanks, but about my not so good sounding question. I thought because of the tooless system and the short de...

thanks for the quick reply guys. I thought about wiring the switch with the negative or positive leads but i don't think it would matter, especially with DC. I am considering the fact that a 4-pin molex has 12V and 5V, which is why i would use a double pole switch. Thanks for the link CES, but sinc...

Re: scratchbuilding a case
Been looking at the various mATX case options out there, and I really like the Antec 3480, but it isnt quite right - theres things I want from it that I cant mod into it. Other cases kind of have some appeal, but they all look so ugly - the aesthetic of the contemporary gamer is for fins and wings ...

Well its possible. BUT: The HDD can only be powered on/off before booting up the pc. About the switches, its the most easiest one to switch grounds. When your hdd is powered on the switch connects the grounds and when the hdd is off you just disconnect the grounds by switching the switch off. Srry i...

Antec Performance One + Kaze Master Ace
I was wondering if you can mount a Scythe 5,25" fan controller in a Performance one series case. Because the controller is not deep at all.

Sorry, liquid cooling is not something I'm comfortable using. I do appreciate the suggestion though. Grump Not to disrespect your opinion but the H50 is a sealed system and tested by Corsair for leaks? Why would you be unconfortable with that? Also corsair probably would use a non-conductive liquid?

Re: more time to play this weekend
I will take some time to investigate exactly where the noise is coming from this weekend. It does sound like fan noise to me - but we'll see. And I realized I made a mistake - I have not tried stopping to 200mm fan. Only the 120mm one - and that was the one that made no difference. Most likely you ...

Sure, but I should mention It's not quiet at the settings I currently run, all my fans are at their max for these settings. I want to keep my cores below 60c for 24/7 folding. It's at 3600mhz @ 1.4825v(bios), my case is a p182 using gentle typhoons for top and rear exhaust (both at 1395rpm). There'...

The mugen 2 should do nicely and will probably be cheaper than a ninja all things considered. I was very impressed with how quiet it was on my stock q6600, the included pwm fan is really good. I'm not sure what rpm's it was running under load at stock speeds as it's been overclocked and running fol...
