What is the quietest CDR/CDRW drive?

I'm currently interested in the CRW-5232A3, but I've seen 1 brief customer review saying that it isn't that quiet.

Anyone got an idea about what the quietest optical drive of this type (CDRW or even just CDR) is?

Potential for quiet performance - Nvidia 7800GT

Hey. What are people's opinions about the potential for the 7800GT to be a quiet card when used with the right cooling. Does the Zalman VF-700Cu fit? Is the Arctic Cooling Silencer NV 5 Rev. 3 a good cooler? (I know it isn't really out yet except on Asus cards, but how was the predecessor, the Rev. ...

Is the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 Rev. 3 available yet? I'd like to know how effective/quiet this fan can be, when the fan is slowed down (by software). I know that ATI Tray Tools is a good software GPU tweaker for ATI cards, but what's the equivalent for Nvidia cards?

For me there is a little bit of clicking on my Powercolor X800XL with one of these, but I'm running things open air, where it's only audible when I put my ear within 10 cm of the graphics card (at 5-30% on ATI Tray Tools). At 50%+ the fan noise (quiet wooshing) drowns out the clicking.

If you're thinking SLI or Crossfire, or overclocking (or DFI Nforce 4 motherboards), then I'd get the 500W version. From my understanding, the issue isn't really using more than 430W or more than 500W, but the stability at which the 150-300W which is used, is actually supplied. Higher rated PSU's, g...

Antec Phantom 500W - PFC (EU/AUS) version. Is this noisier?

I've been thinking about the SPCR review of the Phantom 500W PSU, and it mentioned that the US version they tested didn't have PFC (and had efficiencies of up to 90%) while the EU/AUS version would have PFC and would be arround 4% less efficient. I'd prefer getting the 500W. So just for a bit of futureproofing (and 500 is such a round n...

If you actually want a decent graphics card, then buy the cheapest X800XL you can find and buy an Arctic Cooling Silencer ATI 5 Revision 2 for it. I'm getting 32C for it, running the fan at 15%, where it's very quiet. Room temps are probably arround 18C.

Wow. The defense of a (several) capitalist corporations on morale grounds :). Remember, they sold you the card for much more than it cost them to make it, so if it isn't working (even if it's slightly your own fault), you shouldn't feel too bad if you decide to RMA it.
