Another vote for the Minja here! My NB runs hot to the touch, but no issues in the last year. The cooling in this case is very good. I don't think the NB will be a problem. My E4500 runs bout 29C - 31C during normal operation. Stress test shows up at about 40C http://hosting.superhighoutput.com/yama...

Stay away from the X-fi, it blows. I've got on in my HTPC as I needed a PCIe card and I hate it. It pops, distorts sound constantly and is just not a good card. When I run some CAT6 through the walls when I finish my basement, I will be able to free up a PCI slot from my wireless adapter and will pr...

I'm going to get a second 360 when the Jaspers become more available. Since I've already got a spare 120GB HDD, $200 for an Arcade isn't a bad deal I'm thinking about getting a Jasper myself some time next year. I've read, though, that they will have the same DVD drive as the Falcons, so that part ...

Well, my silent modding tendencies got to me and I just placed an order for the XB01 :) I haven't decided if I'll use the stock fan or one of my spare SlipStreams. I'll post pictures when I'm done. This will be used for Zephyer MOBO that I've had for over year with no RROD yet . I do think Lian Li c...

I used to run a 3.4E (socket 478) on my old setup a few years ago. I ran it at 3.67 Ghz and while it did run hot, it seemed fine. I could have used a better cooler as I was using an older top-down Thermalright, but my case back then wasn't that great. Personally, with today's software/games/etc, I d...

Nice, I have the same case and motherboard! The NB temps are erroneous... There is a big thread on AVS forum talking about it. I did what some are suggesting by mounting the HDD in the lower 5.25" compartment. I was able to do this by cutting holes for hiding the cables. I don't know why Antec doesn...

I compared it to the Minja I have and it looks the same. The overall area is larger as the width/depth of the cooler is slightly larger. I had some pictures comparing the two from different angles, but I deleted them from my hosting space and they're on another computer. Here is a picture I took tod...

I got the Xigmatek bolt-thru to work :) Sorry for the crappy pics.... Couldn't find my camera before installing it all in the case. Both of mine make this noise.... It's annoying me to the point that I'm swapping them out for some SlipStreams. At full speed, they were too loud.... Period. With both the LNA and ULNA, they sounded about the same in my NSK-2480. Since I leave my computer on all the time in the living room, I can he...

Xigmatek Crossbow bolts can be used With Ninja 2. The screws heads are hexagonal and the tools needed for assembly are included in the package. Good find! Do you know if the bolts are the same length as the Thermalright bolts? I would like to use the mount that comes with the Ninja with these bolts.

Just do it... People have been using the bolt-thru kits on full sized Ninja's for a long time now. Damn, ya made me! :-) I was hoping to put the Ninja Mini on tonight and finally close the case up (it's been sitting around open for a couple of weeks as I tweaked it). Now I gotta wait another week t...

I'd be curious to know what your CPU temps are like. Idle vs load and such. also what intake fans if any are you using? I am too. When I ran my Ninja 2 without a fan on an AMD 8450 Phenom x3, it wouldn't keep the processor very cool while stress testing it. It took a while to get there, but I final...

I'll definitely have to agree with you guys that a full tower is overkill. I'm probably going to get the Antec NSK 2480 you all suggested. This also means that I'll have to go with the Scythe Ninja Mini (or something else you might recommend). Modo , how is the Thermalright working out for you? I'm...

Modded P182 is probably your choice but for HTPC its alwfully big... 8800 GT and 9800 GT are not really HTPC cards. If you want to go nVidia way, you should probbaly check 9600 GT. 8800 Gt and 9800 GT are pure gaming cards. I disagree. The 8800 makes a great HTPC card. It was the first of the 8800 ...
