Costco isn't offering any plasmas this year. As their employees tell, they only sells products that actually sell.

Ditto that.... Having been job skipping/hunting for much longer than I wanted to be (years FFS (@&^!"£$)@:), not months or weeks). Andy It would normally take me a moment to figure out a new acronym, but in context I knew immediately what FFS meant. Overall you are too kind. I also looked for a job...

Re: Maybe I made a bad job decision
I agree with the interview part. If you don't have a history of job hopping for a few more bucks you can even quit after a brief stay. Your scenario is not so common anymore, many IT shops I've seen want too much work, too many hours, and heaps of responsibility for what they pay. In a laid back atm...

There's a loty of irony here, and too bad Native Americans didn't do to the Tory what the Tory want done to those they view as immigrants.

Well the total lack of support of all electrical appliances scares the bejeezus out of me. On the other hand you can find 34 inch 16*9 Sony XBRs on Craigslist for $200, sometimes for free, if you're willing to pick it up and deal with the 300 pound weight. If I could find one of the last ones with t...

Re: Panasonic stopping all Plasma TV production
Mentally they gave up on plasmas long ago. When they tried to make them more green (lower power consumption) their defaults settings made for a dim picture. I can't spot the plasmas at BB right away, really dim in comparison. If the sales people had any brains they would have put them in Cinema Mode...

Yes I thought D9 was better, but maybe because it seemed fresher, whereas many of the effects and techniques used in this film are clearly borrowed from other films. But District 9 was about race, this is more about classes. In the end if you don't like the message you won't like the film, which is ...

Elysium - No spoilers
Maybe I was expecting too much. I found it to be a predictable variation of a Hollywood type script the way Outland was basically High Noon in outer space. I didn't see any new ground covered here. No surprises. Excessive shaky camera left much to be desired. Almost no humor. You wonder why I say th...

I thought that I would start the test again to identify some shifty questions that force an answer that is wrong regardless of the answer you give (i.e. there is no correct answer because the answers are far to complex to be agree/disagree). Here are some questions from the test alongside the answe...

This test is a bit of a scam. Too many questions have absolute yay or nay results, when in reality the situation is far more serious. Therefore I need to take the test twice and lean the other way on questions that have been oversimplified here. The freer the market, the freer the people. What does ...

Re: New Solar PV Array in Maynard, MA!
As I understand it, the more inverters there are, the less sensitivity there is to shadows; instead of losing a large group, you only lose one/a few panels. The other advantage of lots of inverters is the quantity of the DC cabling is minimized. All the long runs of wires are AC which greatly reduc...

Re: Nasty program called xVidly, how do I get rid of it?
First and foremost, don't go to any website that offers "free" TV shows to stream. You'll be forced into options you don't want, and odds are the episodes you want won't be free. OK, so I ended up with xVidly (the swine and unintentionally) and stuff that insisted on hijacking my browsers. I had som...

It will not uninstall. I choose it, click uninstall, and nothing happens.
I also have something called QuickShare, and it won't uninstall either.
Any help is appreciated.
I tried CCleaner's uninstall, that didn't work either. Yes, really.

I contacted a company in US that specializes in this and they told me that a low energy house of that size would cost 200 000 dollars at least in US. Why is there such a vast difference in cost? I've never heard anyone say anything even remotely positive about Comcast. The word "sucks" is mentioned frequently.
