Unfortunately, they're probably too short, especially the 12V AUX connector. I wouldn't risk it.
But you could still use extenders...right?

Still one of my favorite sites. Been here since the beginning! I still remember one of the first times I chatted with Mike and I knew he was a pretty knowledgeable guy. Quieted my first enermax to a dead quiet whisper with his instructions. Congrats and thanks for all the excellent work. Indeed, we ...

I'd personally recommend against panaflos these days. The ones at SVC are almost guaranteed chinaflos, and word is japanaflos are not even made anymore, so the few that we come across are likely to be rejected samples i.e. not of the best quality. Good thing I kept about 5 of the old japanaflos whil...

IMHO, and I've said this before, you lose the noise benefit of fanless cpu cooling if you have fans at all in your case. Might as well have a very quiet undervolted one on the cpu heatsink and drop the temps by 15c or more.

Bah! I went brain dead for a while when I posted that, as I recall Rusty actually did this as well. Very few ideas that others haven't already thought of around here. I guess whats more interesting instead is first hand experience experimenting. Personally, I'll probably never try submerging.

Anyone see the cooking oil submerged PC? "silent".

http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/01/09/strip_out_the_fans/ Anyone read about that article? I have no idea how new or old it is, but it certainly caught my eye when I read "silent". Granted most people that say "silent" cannot be trusted (especially THG), but with no fans I can't help but wonder? Any...

Was the mesh and front top drive bays really necessary? I mean you could just leave them open and get air from the side, preserving the clean look no? You mentioned you actually liked the mesh so I guess thats ok, but I'm curious; shouldn't there be air going in from the side intakes even with no mo...

Indeed, a great number of factors and conditions play into any sonic emissions. As for the drive grommets supplied with the P-180, there is such a thing as too tight, and almost no such thing as too loose. And the thicker side of ALL the grommets should be positioned UP. Those bear the weight, agai...

If the 360 is as loud as you say it is, I'm sure many people would be interested in seeing SPCR take a hack at quieting it down effectively. I'm dissapointed to hear reports that it is loud? The thin PS2 is pretty good in that respect IMHO.

I was curious, isn't multiplier being unlocked one of the appealing features of putting a mobile 64 into a desktop system? I may be talking baloney here, as I'm quite behind on the while A64/A64 mobile/turion area.

The whole reason I can't unplug it is so I don't have to open it, thus voiding the warranty. There would be cooling since it is in a P180 and I plan to have one of the orange yate loons @ 5v in the bottom chaimber.

Super Silencer A3 fanless in P180?

Hi fellow SPCR folks, I just got a A3 super silencer which I was hoping I could run without voiding my warranty and very quietly in my new P180. My current system draws about 60W (I've measured) so I was hoping for about ~77% - 80% efficiency at this power level. I had this idea to jam the fan from ...

I second the Seasonic recommendation, thought I prefer their super silencer 80mm straight through arrangement (being phased out). It really depends on the case, the P180 is better suited for the silencer, wheras most traditional cases work well with the S12.
