am running mine at 60c via speedfan right now (runs at 50c with 100% fans). It might shorten the life of the cpu by 20% but I still think I'll have moved on to a newer chip before it cooks.

am running OCZ 8500 atm. Interestingly....letting the Asus Striker mobo run them at EPP profiles is what killed the first pair (and maybe the 2nd), so maybe setting them up manually does indeed solve alot of problems

yes it replaces the current heatsink/fan (HSF) on the graphics card with this fanless heatsink. As the article states though...u still need good airflow through the case for this to work well

IIRC the ATI cards give a 30x boost to a certain part of the folding process, I don't think this equates to a 30x of points
