i dont know which one of the two is making the noise but one of them is loud when its just spinning, but when under load they're both the same, barely noticable...

and AAM does make them a bit more silent

running a Seagate barracuda st3120026as, thats the 120GB sata with 8mb cache 7200.7

yeah i can hear the difference when i do that but the biggest noise problem is just the harddisk when its spinning...

well, they both support it, but didnt notice any big difference (yet)

Well, that 1C difference is probably smaller than the accuracy of their thermal probes, wherever they're mounted (since the review doesn't say) so I wouldn't go so far as to say its better. But if the temp is not correct when using the slk900, the temp will still be uncorrect when testing the 947, ...

I think they used them because they are (a bit) smaller

maybe try to get the Seagate ST3120023A
