What are your case/motherboard temps? if these are high then the CPU temp will be high. At 2500RPM that Zalman must be pretty loud! If case temps are good then a bad heatsink installation could be the cause of the high CPU temps. Try using some good thermal compound like Arcitc Silver 5/Ceramique. a...

I also know them to be stable from the many reviews I have read. I and others also recommend them on my regular forums, all experiences have been good. I just wanted to know the noise output coz most people I deal with that have used one or I recommend to think anything is quiet if it doesn't sound ...

Thermaltake Silent PP series?
Does anyone have any experiances (ggod or bad) with the Thermaltake "Silent" Pure power range? How quiet are they? I can't wait to see a review of their W0050 fanless PSU when it is released. I have high hopes for it with it's large rear heatsink though I would prefer the heatsink at the front wasn'...

Thanks to everyone who replied! I'm not really looking to go to 1.1V! I just wanted something that would at least let me run an XP-M at stock. I won't sacrifice performance by that much but I'm always looking to run quieter around the 1.8GHz mark. Most importantly I was looking for a Mobo that would...

NF2 board with lowest VCore
Can someone let me know of the nForce 2 board with the lowest VCore setting. I have an Asus A7N8X Dx and it only lets me take my XP-M 2500+ as low as 1.575V. Does anyone know the NF2 board with the lowest VCore setting or can you at least tell me the VCore for your board if you have anything differe...

VIA CPU System
I want to make a quiet server absed on a passively cooled VIA CPU. Trying to find info on motherboards for this CPUs is hellish! The official site doesn't seem to have much info either. All the boards seem to be mini ITX form factor but I'm not interested in size, I want it to fit in a standard ATX ...

I completely forgot, don't ask me how, but through my website (controlpc.co.uk) I have built over 10 PC's with Samsung drives. I Always use Samsung drives because they are quiet, pretty fast and run fairly cool (which esp helps in SFF PCs I build). Out of all the drives and my own two I can't report...

Short rounded IDE cable
Hmm wasn't sure if this is the right sections. Well it is about cables for HD's and optical drives! I have 2 Samsung SATA HDs which leaves me with my two optical drives on seperate IDE channels. The thing is the 2 rounded cables I have now are 45cm and both have 2 IDE connectors when I only need one...

Tagan TG480-U01 480W PSU
Does anyone own one of these? I've read many reviews on it and everything I read about it is great. But as I'm sure you know most reviews that claim something is "silent" normally have at least 5 case fans in their test rigs. The only things making noise in my system just now is the Zalman CNPS7000-...
