Mike, would you contact Silenx for a review sample of their Luxurae Hard Drive Silencing Solution? I sent them an email and they replied: We don't actively solicit review sites to look at our products--we figure it's better (not to mention more ethical) if they approach us. If you want silentpcrevie...

Need a new floppy drive
After having my LS-120 serve as a floppy drive after it lost its ability to use LS-120 disks, I today discovered that it has lost its ability to use floppy disks. Does anyone have any suggestions for a floppy drive I could replace it with?

Would a 80mm Papst fan be an improvement over a 80mm 5v L1A?
I have a 80mm ultra quiet panaflo undervolted to 5 volts serving as a rear case fan but would like some more air flow while lowering or maintaining the decibel output. So, would replacing it with a 80mm Papst fan be an improvement?

I have an 80mm ultra quiet panaflo undervolted to 5 volts serving as a case fan. I'm wondering, if I was to buy this, would it make a difference in noise output?

Some custom made cables I ordered came in the mail today. Each one is a panaflo fan tail with a molex connector soldered on and a sleeve. I ordered them rather than making them myself because I don't know how to solder. Instead of ordering a 92mm ultra quiet panaflo fan as I had orignally planned, I...

Thanks. By the way, today I was playing Rise of Nations and my PC's overheat warning went off. I ignored it mistaking it for the UPS's power outage warning and kept playing. Then when there was alot of activity my PC froze and for the first time my case was warm to the touch. I reinstalled the rear ...

How much dBA and CFM should a 5 volt 92mm panaflo make?
If I have done the correct math it should make 17.7916... CFM and 11.25 dBA assuming that it is an ultra quiet model but I'd like someone else to confirm this before I make any expenditures of capital (I have a pile of fans lying around).

I'm glad to hear that you got it up and running. How is the noise level of this cooler? Is it significantly quieter than the stock ATI cooler? I don't have a device to measure decibels so I can't give you exact figures but I did notice a drop in the sound output and it is hard to tell the differenc...

I would wait for reviews, and be very very specific about product numbers when buying. WD seem to have a nasty habit of selling a drive, that might or might not have a FDB motor, just random luck which one u get sent. Western Digital's Caviar drives orignally did not use FDB. They started producing...

This have anything to do with this link? http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=20326 Probably but I wouldn't recommend The Inquirer as a source of information. There are so many ways to change the voltage : a fan controller - generic ones are $15 zalman fanmate - $3/fan (unless you use a Y cable and split its output) software - speedfan and fanspeed (MB dependent) the 92mm panaflo is not going to be quieter. Its louder and pushes more air. You could slow ...

that'd help some. Try putting a blanket over the computer - watch the air holes. I used to stack piles of laundry on mine, and I'm still using the same CPU. Wouldn't the blanket catch fire? I want to change the voltage of my panaflo fans
Right now my computer has 5 fans. 2 ultra quiet 80mm panaflos serving as rear and cpu fans, 2 fans that are on my PSU (Thermaltake 480Watt Purepower) and 1 fan (stock) on my ATI AIW 9700 Pro. How much of a difference do Rubber Grommets make?
Last month my computer's video card fan died on me so I sent it back to ATI to have it repaired. While I was waiting for them to send it back, I replaced 3 fans (2 medium speed panaflo fans for rear and front and 1 vantec stealth fan for the CPU) with 2 fans (2 ultra quiet panflo fans for the rear a...
