one component fell off from my mobo... :(

I had this stupid little accident with my mobo (MSI 694D Master, VIA 694X based dual Socket 370): during mounting in case, I've pushed DVD ROM in it's place and it hit one little component on my board. component fell off of the board. I don't know what kind of electrical component it is, so I've mar...

Is there any information on how low power consumption of Radeon X300SE in frame-buffer mode (no X in Linux, pure console) without monitor attached on D-SUB nor DVI is ?

Same question but for PCI-E:

Which PCI-E card to buy if I only care about minimal power consumption (and passive cooling) ?

Is Radeon X300SE ok?

I've been thinking about that...

But, I would reather use some new (not used) card just because of lifetime of components on it (resistors, capacitors and so on...).

Thank you! @Lifecycle Yes, I'll run Linux server, and yes, NVidia has much better driver support. But, since server will work in text mode (no graphic environment installed at all) there will be no need for drivers. Just plain VGA. @Spod Professional server boards have integrated graphics, but those...

Low power AGP card - nowdays ?

Can someone tell me wich AGP card to buy if I don't intend to use it at all - it'll be in file server.

All I need is the lowest posible power consumption and, ofcorse, passive cooling.

No, I have Newcastle - it's 130nm and Winchester (90nm) is not yet released for Socket 754. The fact I can run my CPU at lower voltages than you is that I run it out of specification and you would be probably able to achieve similar voltages with your mobile (maybe even lower). Give it a try! You ca...

Well, my CPU is not the mobile one and I still have better voltages :P

I can run it rock stable @ 0.8V/1GHz and up to 1.9GHz @ 1.1V

I've just bought my first A64. It's Newcastle, DH7-CG. I was testing it to find lowest voltages on every freqency. I was satisfied if it pass one hour or more i prime95. To be more precise, my mobo (Chaintech VNF3-250) overvolts a little bit under heavy load, but that overvolt is quite small 0.000V ...

Cool'nQuiet works on Chaintech VNF3-250 motherboard at last. A new BIOS dated 092104 enables C'nQ by default. I have confirmed this by AMD's Dashboard and Nvidia's System Utility. At no load the Cpu runs at 1Ghz at 1.1 volts. The multiplier changes from 11 to 5 and back. Is C'n'Q still enabled if y...

C'n'Q on Epox 8KDA3+(J) with 2 DIMMs?

Hello! I've read here http://www.silentpcreview.com/article172-page1.html that Epox 8KDA3+ has "reliable C'n'Q with one memory stick only". I'm wonder if situation has changed with new BIOS versions, as on Epox site http://www.epox.com.tw/eng/support.php?ps=223&type=1 is stated: ** Patch Cool'n'Quie...
