[SOLVED] disabling head uloading?

I have 2.5" drives in my desktop box. there's no need to park heads every time drive is idle because there will be no accidental falls nor g-forces. parking/returning of hdd heads is audiable and there's (I guess) some performance hit. is it possible to "instruct" drive not to park heads every time ...

anything set in the BIOS gets lost fist time cpufreq kicks in as it reads freq:voltage pairs for specific CPU from fixed table.

I used to modify powernow-k8.c to manualy set both voltages for my Athlon64: 0.9V @1GHz and 1.175V @1.8GHz

hello.

I've seen you had Noctua 1200 fan on your Ultra 120 eXtreme and then you switched it to Nexus.

can you tell me how big difference in CPU temperature did you get from this change?

I can solder 3-pin mobo connector to Tricool's wires. anyway, I've given test run to Tricool and it appears to be a little bit noisy. it's audiable even on low (~1200rpm) setting and it gives almost no air flow set like that. [SOLVED] Antec P182 EU vs. Antec P182 SE

I've found those two cases in the local store. P182 EU is priced below 100 euro and P182 SE is over 200 euro.

what is the difference between those two cases?

is P182 EU that bad or it's made from much lower quality materials?

1x 7200rpm 2.5" vs. 2x 5400rpm RAID0 2.5" ???

I've seen that the price of Hitachi Travelstar 7K200 100GB SATAII (HTS722010K9A300) is the same or higher then price of two Seagates Momentus 5400.3 80GB SATAII (ST980811AS).

is it better, performance- and sound-wise, to get one Hitachi or two Seagates and put them in RAID0?
