Generally, I just apply a small blob, take a razer blade to spread it out somewhat, put the heatsink on, turn it a few times around to squish it out a bit then seat the heatsink.

I like it, except for the fact that it's white. If you made one with brushed aluminum/black, I would buy a few. hundred. thousand. truckloads.

Seeing how fan grommets are too stiff to really silence the fans... Being a watercooling guy, I know for a fact that if you boil the tubing, it softens and becomes more flexable. Theoretically, if you boil some of those rubber grommets, they should become soft, and absorb more vibrations. just somet...
