Industry trends
The computers are dissipating more heat, but were doing more with them. Back in the day when a cpu dissipated 5W, you couldnt play a serius multiplayer game, watch DVDs and edit movies. Were paying more in heat energy but were getting more. Does anybody know which has increased more in the last 12 y...

I agree with chylld, a little delay is no real problem. Delays and defects happen, you just have to take your chances. I think its much more anoying when you order something and it doesnt work. I ordered a Bytec external Hard drive enclosure from newegg. The stupid thing didnt even turn on so i had ...

stup ups tracking #'s
newegg.com uses fedex and ive never had anyproblem except them delivering the package earlier than they estimated. The online tracking works great.
I just ordered stuff from sites that use UPS and their tracking numbers dont work. Guess im just going to have to wait and see when the stuff comes in.

weather stripping
Weather stripping foam would work, it has an adhesive on the back and is available at any hardware store. Why are you sticking your hand into the fan blades on the back of your compueter? Another solution would be to use a dremel tool to grind off any sharp edges. But if your totallyn intent on stic...

Memory Heatspreaders
nexustek makes a cool looking product again http://www.nexustek.nl/memoryheatspreaders.htm What temps to RAM modules run at? Those memory modules arent any bigger than the ram, so i think the continous metal surface area is only about 2-3 times the chip surface area. not a huge improvement but i thi...

rusty is right.
temp cant increase on any indivdual component. Now that i think about it the only thing that could even possibley hapen is with reduce airlflow in and out of the case the teimp in the case could increase untill everything is at the same temp. I know some components have higher temp ratings than othe...

fool, the temprature does go up
Why isn’t there a neither option? When you turn the computer of, all the components stop producing heat. The temperature of something producing no heat can only fall. When you turn the computer off, the fans stop dissipating heat almost immediatly and air stops flowing in your case and over your cp...

NEXUS PROLONG, write a software program and save $20
http://www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/prolong.html It keeps your fans on for 5 minutes after you turn off your pc so that the temp doesnt immediatly skyroket on the hot parts and shorten there life. Couldnt someone write software that would shut down all the peripherals drives and processes on windows...
