Do you think this method would be likely to work with larger gaps in the solder? I managed to stab my nvidia card with a small screwdriver when trying to take the cooler apart, resulting in a scrape through 6 tracks. 2 tracks are broken completely... I might be clutching at straws a bit but does an...

Update. Well, i ended up wanting a window in my system for showoff and not to disrupt the airflow. The top compartiment of this system is inaudible so window should - theorically - not make the system louder. So went designing a window. This is how i want the design: http://i404.photobucket.com/alb...

Is a GT 1850 quiet at 7v? Probably. How do you know it will be getting 7v? Are you going to manually set the voltage?! It will probably spin faster than necessary much of the time, when it isn't spinning fast enough the other. It's not like manually setting the speed on a CPU fan where there are se...

Corsair CX400w fan swap
Hello, After listening in a evening to my pc i discoverd my PSU was the source of the noise of my pc. I was wondering what the best fan is as a replacement fan for my Corsair CX400w. Scythe Slipstream 1200 or Slipstream 1600. I probably will use my pc close to max power (Q6600, HD5770 [8600gt gets o...

Given that you are aiming for a reasonably low noise system but not super-quiet, the 5870 Vapor-X card might be quiet enough for you. Otherwise, for aftermarket coolers, you might want to search out any of the following: - Thermalright Trad 2 GTX + VRM R3/R4 combo - Thermalright Spitfire + VRM R3/R...

I have a Antec 300 and love it. It's an amazing case for the price. So much room in such a small size. I can't say I have used the P180 mini but I don't care too. I am so happy with my 300. I have a antec P180 Mini and love it. Blablablah. Worthless argument. Not to offend you but you have to have ...

In my opinion a silent is a system that is inaudible within a certain distance or a system thats not distracting. I found out that a {call a component which has a fan} fan that's ramping up is distracting. I like a noise which is always the same so i use a hardware controller. Software is something ...
